Bears inactives: QB Justin Fields RB Damien Williams WR Allen Robinson TE Jesper Horsted DT Akiem Hicks DL Mario Edwards (ribs) CB Teez Tabor Eddie Jackson is back. Goff is starting for the Lions. Allen Robinson has a "hamstring" injury. He's on a franchise tag, and it wouldn't surprise m...

GAME DAY BITCHES!!!!! A very Happy Thanksgiving to all of you idiots. I am grateful for this forum. I couldn't get through an entire Bears season without you. Be grateful for what you have, and appreciate the little things. Here's hoping the Bears haven't completely given up on Nagy, and that our de...

Re: Steaks

I like to buy the whole beef tenderloin and cut my own Filet Mignon. It is weird you can buy the whole tenderloin on sale for $8 bucks a pound but a cut filet will cost $18 a pound! I rub all my steaks with my BBQ rub (brown sugar, seasoning salt, ground mustard, onion powder, cayenne and black pep...

I am a 100% charcoal guy ... and the wide variety of smoking chips, the way I can manipulate flavors with just the coals and the chips are amazing I understand the time involved can make charcoal grilling inconvenient for the work week, but I just can't get into a gas grill ... if you're doing the ...

Yeah. Sorry wab I'm not waiting 3 hours for my steak. I love Ribeyes and NY Strips. I grew up with my Dad using Kitchen Bouquet to rub the steaks down, and then dry rub them with a little salt, pepper, garlic, and thyme. Let them sit in the fridge overnight uncovered. I set up a hot and cool side of...

Can't have sausage in mine. It wouldn't work with the perfect bite of food. You load on a fork;

Turkey
Mashed Potatoes
Stuffing
Cranberry sauce (jellied from a can)
Gravy

Just a little of each, and then take a bite. It's the perfect blend of flavors. UGH! I can't wait!

Bulls vs. Pacers: This would have been a winnable game for the Bulls, if they had not just come off of a dogfight with the Knicks the previous night. The Bulls got down early and looked exhausted. No spring in their step. Caruso was sidelined as well with a wrist contusion, which hampered the defens...

Yes, and while we’re at how about a three-fer and get rid of Phillips too.
Fuck it. Someone throw the franchise up on Craig's List while George isn't looking. Go big or go home!

Re: Rumor: Nagy to be Fired after Thanksgiving

Ryan Pace doesn't have to tell Nagy anything. But loose lips in the building could be leaking information coming down from Ginny and George. It's been rumored for awhile that the organization has soured on Nagy, and the team has recently become more vocal about their vote of no confidence. I don't t...

Re: The Hunting & Fishing Thread

Even though I haven't been fishing in a long time, I very much enjoy hunting. I don't hunt deer very often. I don't know why, but I don't have it in me, and I don't really love the taste so there's no need for me to do it. My hunting typically revolves around turkey and hog. Some coyotes and occasi...

That would be a classy move UOK. As much as I want Nagy gone, I'm a softy and feel bad for the guy personally. He's just a person, with a family, facing getting fired for what was the mountain top of his career. He must be absolutely gutted about it. Best to rip the band aid off and get this over w...

I am hearing this as well from friends who follow Bears news a lot closer than I do. I'm guessing he announces his resignation today at the presser. Don't expect Pace to be gone at the end of this year. My guess is that he gets another coaching hire. The cap situation is not as bad as everyone is cl...

Re: Week 12 // Thanksgiving // Bears (3-7) @ Lions (0-9-1)

The Bears are on the verge of implosion. The article that came out today referring to most of the team wanting Nagy out will come to a head on Thursday. It's a short week, and players are emotionally and physically spent. If the Bears go down early, expect to see arguments and yelling on the sidelin...

Re: Nagy Hot Seat

If the Bears have a bad showing against the Lions, win or lose, Nagy has to go if McCaskey has any hope of preventing the team from becoming a laughing stock. The Bears are quitting on him. That was clear on Sunday. No one has any confidence in what he's doing. I think that Nagy is heavily influenci...

That's awesome. Yeah, I'm a nerd with no idea what I'm doing and I have a little of everything when it comes to lures. I can confirm that most of them don't work. The most success I've had catching LMB (normally what I'm aiming for) are live leeches, or plastic on a jig. I'd like to catch a Norther...

Bulls v. Knicks: Bulls struggled tonight against the Knicks and the refs, but showed a lot of resilience. Derozan went off for over 30 points...again. White came back tonight and was dropping 3's. I thought that once Caruso got into foul trouble, it really hampered the defensive effort. But the team...

The 2021 Season Thread

We all endured the painful years of GarPax. What finally motivated Reinsdorf to make a move and do things right will probably always be a mystery. But he did, hired a new GM, and Billy Donovan. Karnisovas and Eversley rebuilt this team from the ground up, preserving Lavine and White, and that was ab...

The Bears have to have the fewest yards gained in the league. I mean, their 14 points came from two freak broken plays where the receiver ended up going for 50+ yards.

Let's talk rods and reels. I'm using a baitcaster off of the dock, because I can put the line right where I want it along the shore, or in specific spots around the dock. My fishing rod is about 6'6", medium flexible tip. Any reason why I would want to move to a spinning rod?
