Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft
Random question to all of you Draft geeks out there. Who is the one player, if taken unexpectedly high, could shake up the entire first round? McCarthy? Verse? Latham? Or conversely, who do you see falling out of the top 10, that everyone has pegged there, and why?

Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft
Here is something very important to consider. We have Carolina's round 2 pick next year. I am assuming that there is nothing that gives anyone in the NFL confidence that Carolina is going to take a giant leap in 2024. They don't have a 1st round pick this year, and Young REALLY struggled last year. ...

Re: Bears working out OT Fuaga
I'd bet a hefty sum that Guyton goes on Day 1. Barton is a maybe, as his arm length probably pushes him inside, but his athletic testing would suggest he's got loads of promise there. I'm guessing Barton ends up at C for whoever drafts him, and he goes on to have a Pro-Bowl level career. As a C pro...

Odunze is taller at 6'3".
I like the idea of the taller receiver because it's a compliment to Moore.
I would be elated with either one.

1. I strongly suggest you watch the HBO documentary series OJ Simpson: Made in America. It is an incredibly comprehensive series that goes over everything relevant before, during, and after the trial, up until 2018 or '19, I believe. 2. He murdered those people. It's not even a matter of if; it is ...

OK everyone! Who's your horse in The Masters?? Me? I'm going with Scotty Scheffler. He's been on a tear the last couple of years and is currently the World Golf #1 player.

OJ Simpson - Dead at 76
OJ Simpson has died after a battle with Cancer. That dude just couldn't stay out of trouble, and probably speaks more to his core character than anything else. In my personal opinion he was guilty as shit of the murder of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. He did that as sure as I am alive right now. The...

This is worth 13 minutes of your time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC2g1wtR2pw It isn't just Ryan Poles talking but includes comments from the newly acquired players and shows their arrivals at Halas Hall. The director seems to have a strange obsession with close ups of hands. Perhaps he's prep...

I would bet money that they are taking a WR. Probably Brian Thomas, or Odunze if he is still there. They need to beef up their WR corps for Cousins.

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread
Saw a really good article about Williams and NIL. This is the first generation of college players where we already know what they are going to act like after getting paid. There will be no mystery about Caleb Williams and how he will handle a new NFL contract. There will be less pressure, because he...

Re: Bears working out OT Fuaga
To answer my own question...it was 7 OT's in the first round of the 2008 draft. I think there is a good chance to tie that record this year.Bears Whiskey Nut wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 8:25 am What's the record for T's taken in the first round? I'm thinking that there could be 5-7 taken this year.

I like Legette in thew 3rd round if we can pick-up some extra picks. He reminds me of a Deebo Samuel type. Big thick receiver that is not going down easy. I think I'm the only one around here that doesn't like Legette. He reminds me of a faster Treylon Burks. Run, Jump, Catch... but can't really do...

Kiran Amegadje is a local kid from Hinsdale. Big mountain of a T. really smart too (obviously). He's 6'6" with freakish 36 1/2" arms. Could be a great project if you trade down for some late round picks.

Re: What would it take for you to move from the 1.1 pick
If it were Washington that was trading with us? I would need this year's R1, R2 (2), and Daron Payne. Then I would also need 2025 R1, 2026 R1. But I too believe that they are taking Caleb Williams. I still have small doubts about him being successful at the next level, but those are quickly disappea...

I'm not the draft hound that some of you are. I know a lot of players that are due to go in the first couple of rounds, but that's about it. Here's my best guess. I'm predicting that we trade back 7-10 spots from #9 and pick-up an extra 2nd or a couple of 3rds. First Pick: Choice 1: Caleb Williams C...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository
Subsidizing a stadium (or two) in downtown Chicago will be fraught with legal challenges, protests, and compromises over what was originally planned. The Bears won't own the land, and they won't have a piece of any of the restaurants and shopping around the stadium. There is nowhere on the waterfron...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository
Chicago also won't see a Superbowl in the new stadium if they try and develop on the lakefront. Why would that be? It seems to me if the stadium is on the lakefront, it becomes a more likely site than if out in the 'burbs. Fan get to come and stay in Chicago the whole time and don't have the commut...

My favorite thing about taking Caleb this year may not be that I think he's the best QB in the last few drafts, it's that next year we won't have to even discuss the possibility of taking Shedeur Sanders. That dude is just too much for me. He was doing an interview yesterday talking about how much ...
