Re: R3 P75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT - Yale

I expected him to look better in those highlights when you consider he’s playing against a bunch of civilians.. He doesn’t look nearly as athletic as Braxton, but he looks heavier which could be good or bad. My hope with this oline is that they look better with a better Qb, but we have a lot of que...

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

There are positions you can get damn good player in the 4th round, starter level or better. IOL, RB, TE and for you @dplank safety or linebacker all can be had in the 4th and can develop into players. I don’t think it was a deep draft and the talent got thin at that point. I think the chances of To...

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

But here's the thing. That WAS super important because we have only know how to win with defense, running the ball and field position. The Bears shouldn't need to be that team anymore. They should be a team striving to not have to punt or to make it far enough they are going for long field goals or...

Re: The 2024 Draft

That Carolina trade last year, a parting gift from Lovie has absolutely turbo-charged the building of this team. We have built a great roster and we still have 7 picks next draft   The Lovie Smith Texans' 2-point conversion will go down as the single greatest play in Bears history. Unti...

Re: Some last minute fill ins for the roster

I'm in on those DL for sure...I can't see Boyd coming here, we already have 3 guys that are gonna need a lot of targets. He wants to go somewhere where he will actually get more action as he's already stuck behind Higgins/Chase in Cincy. It'd be even worse here. I agree. I wouldn't be surprised at ...

Re: 2024 Draft: Is This Our Greatest Draft Ever?

The payroll for the entire 1983 team was probably less than the $23 mil we're paying Keenan Allen. It was also damn near a half a century ago... I'm happy that we no longer have to look back at a draft that's 41 years old and be like "wow" the Bears really nailed that one. Maybe because I...

Re: Post Draft Meatball Overreaction - Three Things

1. I'd say the Bears win the Super Bowl or Caleb wins rookie of the year, but you said overreaction not state things that are completely reasonable that will happen. So! Caleb Williams win the NFL MVP award after a 5000 yard 40 total TD season 2. DJ Moore wins NFL Offensive Player of the Year as he ...

I really hope you are all right. Days later still thinking a punter is a mistake. You have all given me hope that he's worth it, but he's basically gotta be like a top 3 or 5 punter to be imo. He has a big leg, but his ability to place the ball is what is most enticing to me. Rugby/Aussie Rules guy...

He's a 5th rounder, I'd be happy if he becomes a functional DE3. We will probably draft DE2 early next year so Booker does have a few years to develop.

Re: What about 2025???

According to the current 2025 big board at the NFL mock database, there are 12 DTs inside the top 53 players (which is nuts!) and 5 EDGE prospects in the top 25. Poles plans ahead. I think this draft pretty much proved that. He will probably take 2 or 3 DLine next draft when we have all those sweet...

Re: The 2024 Draft

Merging some of the rando draft related threads. Thank you. It was getting sort of confusing. DJ Moore will be just 29 in 2026 so I believe that if he's healthy and productive Poles will look to extend him for another 3-4 years during the 2025 season. These two expiring deals is one reason why draf...

Do we officially have the tally of the haul of the #1 pick trade now? Greatest trade in Bears history easily. NFL history? It's been beyond transformational. This draft was built off that trade. Think about the talent on the team at the moment before the trade compared to now. It's just unbelievabl...

The way I see it is this; 1st; Williams 1st; Odunze 2nd; Sweat 3rd; Amengadjie 4th; Allen 4th; Taylor 5th; Bates 5th; Booker If the pundits are willing to take all of this into consideration it's an A+ draft and then some. Show me one other team that added this much talent using their allotted pick...

I would love for the Bears to get an edge rusher at 75, but I’m so happy right now I don’t even care. Sign a veteran or two and go all in on a better dline class next year. Go TE or online at 75. We need backup linemen to develop and a TE to replace Everett as soon as next year. Finish the job buil...

Asked whom the Bears should draft ninth, Williams first named Penn State tackle Olu Fashanu, his former high school teammate who would “put his life on the line protecting me ,” and then settled on one of the top three receivers. “Whoever’s there at 9,” Williams said. If alt and the wrs are gone, I...
