Would MHJ smoking a joint before the draft in a pic still drop him? That may be my best hope at the dream coming true

I wouldn't be thrilled with moving up, even for MHJ.
Since next years #1 is basically a 2nd with it being #32, id do it in a heartbeat.

Id be beyond shocked if Poles did it despite how happy I would be.

Re: MHJ tanking his showing so the Bears can land him

It's no more than one guys take on it but it's not an impossible situation to pull off. If Poles wants it to happen and SD is willing to trade for a 2025 pick or picks it's not like it could never happen. I would wonder why SD needing to replace it's two best WR would want to make that trade to beg...

Re: MHJ tanking his showing so the Bears can land him

I dream every night of MHJ in a Bears uniform.

Caleb and MHJ can break Peyton and MHs records.

I think it's a wonderful idea. I'd give up even more than the 2nd next year to get MHJ.

Since we will be drafting 32 next year they should trade up using the 1st. It will never be worth more than it is right now!

Has anybody told Tyreek Hill (R5), Puka Nacua (R5), Amon-Ra St. Brown (R4), Michael Pittman (R2), AJ Brown (R2), Davante Adams (R2) just to name just a few recent All Pro/Pro Bowl WRs... oh and our own Keenan Allen (R3). Re: Different trade scenario

Passing on a WR at 1.9 would be alot more palatable if they had a 2nd round pick.

I guess it's a good problem that we are sitting here like, wtf we are only getting a difference maker at QB and either WR or DE this draft instead of all 3.

Well, off-season program starts today ... so unless Keenan is wearing a blank jersey, we'll have our answer very soon. I dont think he will be in a jersey til after the draft. HRS's post in the other thread says the first phase is meetings and strength and conditioning/rehab for 2 weeks. I dont thi...

Re: Different trade scenario

why this absurd fascination with the WR position? the Bears have DJ Moore & Keenan Allen and whoever is the QB will only have so many throws a game to share the ball with the WR's, TE's and RB's if they want to get WR help in later rounds, fine ... but to use the #9 pick on a WR would be absolu...

Re: I think we Bears fans are traumatized

One of Odunze or Turner will be there at 9. Take whichever is there and it’s a win. Barring a team hopping up to 7, I think that's probably the case. The biggest difference in the 3rd WR vs the 3rd DE is that the 3rd DE is going to see more opportunities than the 3rd WR. If you have them graded equ...

Anyone else getting anxious now that we're only 10 days away from the draft?? Not at all! Excited. A bit impatient. Very positive. The Bears are drafting a generational talent at QB for the first time ever and will get another blue chip prospect. The team is set up in great shape. Nows the time to ...

I voted middle 12. Rookie QB and new offense take a bit to take off then finish the season as one of the best in football. End up finishing just outside the top 10.

First 8 picks go: QB QB QB Harrison QB (Minny trades with the Chargers) Nabers Odunze (Jets trade with Titans) Turner So Alt is sitting there as is Bowers, Fuaga, Verse, and Latu. What are you going to do? I say take Alt much as Bowers is tempting.10 year rocks at both tackles. Thats a tough one. I...

Everything you said can be said about DE. That's my point. You like defense nothing wrong with that. It doesn't change that they are both very similar situations. I'm not trying to convince you that we should draft a WR. I'm trying to get you to stop pushing the false reason of its a bigger need. I...

Re: I think we Bears fans are traumatized

We have 2 #1 wide receivers for 1 year. Receivers take more than 1 year to develop. If you draft a guy it's to pair with Caleb long term. It has nothing do with this season or having 3 #1s this year. Hell, if that guy works out he replaces Moore in 2 years. That's not a dumb move its forward thinki...

Meanwhile we're at #9 and this fanbase (and this board) is like "let's draft Verse because he's a good run-stopping edge" or "we need an elite OT3 because injuries happen and braxton jones loses against bull rushes". Like we can't believe that there's a way to win other than 12-...

I can definitely double down on this after my last Picnic Basket. I was looking hard for a 3T in the Aaron Donald and Tommie Harris mold--smaller, but strong and very fast. It's why I pimped so hard for AA last year. I thought he was perfect. Exactly what we were looking for. Obviously not. That is...

So there's your numbers. But gotta wait until April 26 or 27 if you want it.

Re: My Guy for the 2024 Draft

I couldn't sleep last night, so I came out and did a Mock Draft with PFN. In it, I was offered a trade by the Rams: the #9 pick for the Rams 19, 52, 155, and next year's second. I took it and came away with 19--WR-Brian Thomas; 52--DE Bralen Trice; 75--DT Braden Fiske; 122--OC Beaux Limmer; and 155...

Interesting that some of you don't like Odunze when all of the scouting reports and coaching intel and opinions call him elite. Of the three top WR it's Nabers who actually graded the highest post Combine probably because of his speed and YAC ability. Then came MHJr and Odunze but there not much to...

I cannot get on board with Rome at 9, when I watch the tape I see a drastic difference between MHJ/Nabors and Rome. If both WRs are gone, I really don’t know who’s tops on my board. I definitely see him as a step down. I want offense more than anyone. But if it's top defender vs Rome vs Bowers...ma...

Caleb's about to be the 1st pick of the draft of the team most historically inept at developing QBs. I'd say he's about to know adversity very well. Jokes aside, I hate when fans say "oh he didn't lose a leg he didnt face adversity" or shit like that. Same when someone says "I hate so...
