Re: The Hunting & Fishing Thread

I've always wanted a lever gun. Mine are more various handguns (wheel and magazine) and rifles of assorted calibers mainly 7.62 and 5.56. Couple shotguns. I've never owned a revolver, shot a few. You ever use a red dot on a pistol? Recently purchased one for mine. Once you get use to it, its amazin...

Re: The Hunting & Fishing Thread

Love the lever guns. Got a marlin 39a the kids just love. It is so smooth and so accurate. A new Ruger/marlin may be in the future when they get up and running. People would call me a gun nut, I have over 30 in the safe, but I have only bought 6, have no AR’s or pistols as they don’t interest me. L...

My first thought was torn cartilage in his ribcage. That's not a fun injury. Even if he gets healthy enough to play again, I'm pretty sure it's going to be Dalton from here on out. I didn't watch the game. If you are correct in the injury diagnosis he is done for the year. I dont know much about ri...

I have used baitcasters but I prefer spinning reals. Partially ease partially money. A good bait caster is expensive and needs some skill. I generally use monofilament, I use braid on slop or is fishing musky. I really like a wacky worm set up all year all types of fishing from slop to deep dragging...

I was thinking of making both in to 250 savage. I may keep them as is too. Both old chek brno mausers super solid action for being 100 years old. Grandpa sporterized them before I got them. They are white tail killers, to bad I didnt see any this weekend.

Oh their fiscal crisis, taxation, corruption etc... I think Chicago has proven you can bleed a turnip for a little while at least.

Ironically, I load my own shotgun and rifle ammo as well. Dad cursed me with a lot of old school hobbies. So I might need to pick your brain in the future. I have a few guns that are getting hard to find ammo for. My grandfather was an amateur gun smith, unfortunately those skills died with him. Th...

I find people's hatred of Bezos miss placed. I am not a huge fan for reasons I doubt most people are. He did revolutionize the market place, and I'm pretty sure we all use his services. Amazon is super convenient. Is the guy an asshole? I dont think I would like him but my Visa wouldn't buy his appe...

There's a saying: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity or incompetence. There is also a saying, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck. I dont think it's a league mandate but a bunch of individual biases. I think there is a clear difference in ...

So I do bass tournaments with my old man in WI. Send me a pm with your lakes location. Bass tournaments are no live bait but if your sitting on a dock live bait is the way to go. Weed structure, clarity, depth, and surface are big things. You want to have fun take a top water, like a chug bug and bu...

Of all the complaints I have about Nagy, him not calling out refs publicly to appease the fan's desire to see his inner Ditka is not one of them. That's not it at all. I find it hard to throw Jenkins out there any time soon. No practice even in camp. A major surgery at the beginning of the season. Combined with no nfl experience.

It's like pinch hitting with 2 strikes and using a reliever who hasn't swung a bat sense college.

This will likely be a huge upper cut straight to the dick. I dont even know if I can force myself to watch it. I will but it will be begrudgingly. That said there is a path for victory. Run the ball play action pass. Steelers have a recent defense but statistically there is room to move the ball. 4....

I think getting your QBs ass kicked can definitely ruin a QB. I am unwilling to sort through sack amounts, draft position, and success metrics. So I agree its essentially a dumb argument. We think your kind are wrong you think our kind are wrong. The surface level data in that article makes both the...
