Re: The "I Hate My Job" Thread

@southdakotabearfan My experience in government. Generally those who are good leaders promote to the area they feel they get the best return. They have actual influence and get some value in production. Its generally bad leaders who try to promote to the top. I group leaders in to 4 categories. Most...

Re: OT Morgan Moses Visiting Bears

I'd ask successful defensive ends if it makes a difference. Like, do you guys look at this stat before games? Do you have moves that you use on 33" arms that you'd never try on a guy with 35" arms? I dont know if the DE changes his philosophy. But like anything in life physical attributes...

Re: OT Morgan Moses Visiting Bears

I searched a bunch of OT arm lengths. As long as it's not TRex arms it isnt statistically significant. Based on my non scientific approach of just searching starters. I actually thought wingspan would have a better correlation but it doesn't appear so.

Re: Rodgers & Packers having a falling out

I had to jump off the coffee table due to the height of the ceiling. My first attempt, the ball hit the rim, I went tumbling about 6 ft and ran head first into the wall. Put a little divet in the drywall. One of the other funny (to me anyway) stories to come out of that night. One of the frat guys ...

Well I'm going to add another contribution. Just got talked to for probably saving a womans life the other day. By talked to I mean my boss argued with me about why I would risk my life to save a possible hostage. It wasnt heroic nothing movie like. I told him that's kind of our job. He chastized me...

Re: RB David Montgomery reinventing his running style

These speed coaches are great for track sports improvement. Generally not as much for football. As long as it doesn't change the running style to much it's a good thing.. The offensive line will have more to do with his YPC. I am glad he is working on his weaknesses. That said if you watch a quick h...

I must've missed it then. There's been a lot to unpack in all of their arguing. LOL no shit I haven't even been reading it. Plank explained that he doesn't like the inconsistent narrative (the biased hype), and Lawrence not eliciting "concerns" over the exact same factors that Watson and ...

Look rich isn't saying anything off base. The race talk is dumb. Watson had some questions. So did mahomes. Fans had the the QBs that year ranked different then the pros. I doubt Ryan Pace was racist. He was just wrong. Lawrence is about the top rated QB you will ever find. Those are not exactly &qu...

Its actually a cheap camper. Seems like a normal sized house. Dude seems super cool. It looked new. And probably was a 25 to 30 foot? That's a new misdsive SUV unless he got a slightly used one. Yeah it's probably right around 30 grand. Really nice ones are more then double that. If we look at it f...

Well no reason to watch the games if you are not an expert. It doesn't take an expert. It takes an expert to determine if noticeable faults can be fixed, if surrounding talent helps or hurts a players deficencies, etc. Basic talent and normal skills a normal fan should be able to spot. If not we wat...

Re: Progressions: QB

Not really arguable on the general point. I think you can improve processing speed. It might not be from from a 5 gbt to a 120 gbt, but it can improve. I guess I never saw Fields as a slow processor. My complaint was anticipation. They maybe 2 sides of the same coin. I think you can also get better ...

Man the mitch draft has really morphed. Personally I liked Mahomes. Yet he fell. I doubt the future hall of Famer fell because his skin color. Likely it was the risks he took, the system, and to be honest his game tape had some really wierd decisions. His arm is amazing and as one coach said about c...

Yeah I dont think you can truly glean much from press conferences. Pretty sure Mark Trestman had people giddy too. Its natural that people get optomistic with new blood in the fold. I do the same thing looking for hints in stuff like press conferences. Essentially you cant though. So of course I do ...

I tend to hammer bad opinions (Press Conferences matter) or pure homerism (Arob should be a perennial 1500 Yard guy). - Otherwise I am a homer myself and tend to see the bright side (Not the insane side) Press Conferences are similar to my children telling me about what they saw on you tube. In a related story that guy works at a Jiffy Lube not the NFL I am legitimately curious if there is anything at all you like about what the Bears are doing or who they drafted. Its hilarious because I dont want to work either. Its dumb. You are on a bad team with lots of new pieces. I have no idea how much this means to the overall implimentation of anything. But it certainly doesn't help especially youthful players. Its cutting off your nose in spite of your face.
