Re: What Bagent is up to

Wouldn’t it be wild if Poles traded down from #1 multiple times for extra picks then started Bagent for 2024?

Re: Worth a gander...

Need to finish the pod tomorrow. Good listen regardless but think the thing not being mentioned is another year of Fields if you take the haul doesn’t commit you to much. You still have year 5 option to pick up (for a 11th overall pick) before the “crippling” contract would have to come. The haul w...

I'd rather roll with Fields + Bagent as a back up for one more year and draft a WR or DE stud.

I was curious about how the Bears ranked as far as allowed sacks for 2023 ....turns out, we were pretty bad: TEAM YEAR G SACKS CMP ATT PCT YARDS AVG Y/GAME TD TD% INT INT% SKCY RATE New York Giants 2023 17 85 338 518 65.3 3,351 6.5 197.1 15 2.9 12 2.3 465 83.4 Washington Comma 2023 17 65 407 636 64....

Re: Free Talk // Open bar, we're not turning the lights off

If I'm Poles I wouldn't say anything about retaining Fields right now ( btw, I think he will ) in order to keep other NFL teams guessing if we are going to use our No.1 pick on the "top" QB in the draft Surely there will be some QB needy team (hopefully with pick no. 2, 3 ,4, or 5) that wi...

I want Nate Davis to be launched into the sun

- for (again, he has a history of this) not participating in the preseason then claiming injuries that are possibly due to inadequate conditioning

Re: Free Talk // Open bar, we're not turning the lights off

Tough one for me, really tough. I see both sides of it. On one hand, I value continuity and know that changing coaches constantly is a recipe for failure. On the other hand, listen to what the players said after the game yesterday. DJ Moore said "We have everything we need, we just need to pla...

Re: Justin Fields and hits

The officials continue in their blatant non-calls that foul the integrity of the game. It's almost as if the NFL is prejudiced against Justin, for some crazy reason. George McCaskey himself needs to get up in front of the cameras with the videos, show the clips, and ask the question about why isn't...

Re: Justin Fields and hits

I wonder if he might be sliding a bit too much now? This might be the rugby player in me but I get it when you're running up to contact but there are occasions where he's up to speed and I think he'd be safer trying to run around defenders rather than sliding near them. They aren't positions where ...

It's unbelievable to me but the Bears apparently can still squeak into the playoffs with the no. 7 seed if they win their last three games and get some help each week from a handful of other teams.

I think Justin Fields deserves one more year but with a new OC that plays to his strengths.

jesus this game was tough to take. The Bears were up 17-7 and let the Browns crawl right back and eventually win the game. ifs ands and buts: Tonyan didn't drop that pass Getsy settled for FG's twice given the opportunities Mooney caught the ball that landed in his hands in the end zone as time expi...

Re: Justin Fields Megathread - A story of Lovers and Haters

I would like to see a couple games where JF1 goes off for 325 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT, but I just don't think we have the playcalling or offensive mindset to do it. He put up 280 yards of total offense, which is somewhat similar to what folk expect out of Lamar Jackson. I agree, the Bears aren't go...

I picked keep Fields and trade down. Adding Williams or any other college QB to this team doesnt put us over the top. We need talent. I feel like Getsy hasnt put Fields in position to succeed. I see it the same way and I think it's because, ostensibly, Eberflus is calling his defense with one arm tied behind his back. The more I observe what Poles is doing and listen to what he's saying, it really does seem like he's laid out to leadership/ownership that this is not going to be a quick f...

its early but Pajamas Walker showed nothing so far (I like the nickname though)
Peterman has underwhelmed here and elsewhere
