Re: Post Draft Meatball Overreaction - Three Things
I really thought this would be a fun exercise for people to let their meatball side out....but apparently not. Dang. I didn't mean to step on your meatballs, Whiskey. Maybe I can do better: Bears beat Packers twice and win me two bottles of Black Grouse, an eighth of Durban Poison, and a box of 30-...

Re: Post Draft Meatball Overreaction - Three Things
I am as meatball as anyone but losing to the Cowboys in the playoffs is not the foundation for anything worthy. Sorry. That's what ya got for my overreaction thread?? Nice. I'm glad you have an opinion. Okay my overreaction expectation would be for the offense to average 30 or more per game, to bea...

Re: Post Draft Meatball Overreaction - Three Things
That's right! It's time for the Post NFL Draft Meatball Fan Overreaction thread. Many NFL pundits gave the Bears an A on their draft this year, and how could they not. Ryan Poles knocked it out of the park. If we count Keenan Allen as part of the draft class, then it truly was franchise altering. W...

I might as well get used to the idea. It seems inevitable with the way Poles has turned the ship around.

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread
Agreed - teams generally don’t settle for the QB they don’t have ranked as the #1 prospect in order to load up on picks. As for Fields’ physical prowess, it led to…nothing. His amazing athleticism and power was more than balanced by his remarkable lack of productivity as a passer. Why can't you sto...

Re: Different trade scenario
It sounds like Ryan Poles understands how important the lines are and some of us here do not. The arguments for taking a WR for the Bears second pick do not hold water. If he doesn't trade down, I foresee a QB, two linemen and then perhaps a WR. I bet you, Bearfacts, that Poles takes two linemen be...

TMP is right.
What in the heck are we talking about Fields in this Caleb Williams thread for - it just pisses people off all over again.
Be a good sport Art - just leave it alone.

I think the best way to mitigate a traumatized fanbase is to wreak havoc on the opponents.
That said, a top 5 defense would go a long way towards gratification - if not fulfillment - at least for me.

Re: Yogi da Bear's Picnic Basket (2024)
As far as trading JF - it could have been done either way. I'm glad he's got a fair chance to succeed with the Steelers. It's a clean break with no residual complications. Trading Justin reinforces a strong message of confidence in Caleb. Right now, the Bears are expressing 100% confidence in CW and...

I think, at some point, you have to come to the understanding/realization that yes this is the player we have been looking for.
This guy is the right guy in the right place at the right time - Caleb Williams.
Freaking unreal - never thought I would say that.

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots
Poles has brought in three legit new targets for CW already this offseason.
He's got two elite WRs, two pass-catching TEs and two RB's with good hands.
Trade down or not, I expect the second blue chip after Caleb will be either OL or DL.
