Re: 2024 Training Camp

It's all gloriously irrelevant. The Bears are going to have a top defense AND a top offense. Oh and a top special teams unit as well.

Re: 2024 Training Camp

Listening to Coach Washington speak, if certainly sounds like Montez Sweat will be getting some snaps at 3T. Fun stuff, he's a fucking freak! Yeah, just posted about that in the "Looking for help to rush the QB" thread. Billings also said he's been play some 3T as well as NT. They're real...

Per Patrick Finley: Marcedes Lewis and Keenan Allen each received a veteran day off. Noah Sewell and Nsimba Webster remained out. I don't recall this being reported previously. Jason Lieser also reported that Rome Odunze has looked very impressive in his first two full practices where he's consisten...

Re: Looking for help to rush the QB

I've just posted today's pressers in the Training Camp thread: https://www.bearsfansonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=388194#p388194 Washington was asked and talked a lot about the defensive line and then Dexter and Billings were two of the three players at the podium. One piece of information that l...

Re: Offensive Line - What will it look like

The Bears are still rotating their centers. Apparently Ryan Bates played with the starting group during the first and third practices, with Coleman Shelton starting on the second and fourth. At his presser Billings was asked about the two and he said they're two different body types and one's quick ...

Re: 2024 Training Camp

Thanks for the clarification--and I agree. And I'm sure Bagent's off-season work will pay off. It just seems that everybody was excited by what Bagent accomplished last year...but come the off-season...a lot of members here decided he wasn't very good. Weak-armed, and whatnot. Which is weird. I inc...

Re: Bears in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2024

If Sweat is 82 I'm not expecting anyone else. Maybe Moore or JJ but they are overlooked players even though they shouldn't be. Sweat made big headlines due to the trade and change in the D post Sweat. Keenan Allen I could see making it but he wasn't really a Bear so not sure it counts Isn't the lis...

Bears in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2024

So the annual silliness that is the Top 100 Players list is slowly being released (nothing the NFL likes more than dragging things out) and the first Chicago Bear has been named. 82. Montez Sweat Who else do we expect to make the list and where do people guess they're going to land? Moore, Allen, Ja...

Re: Jaylon Johnson Call Out His Teammates

Jaylon Johnson's contract is already dropping down the list of highest paid CBs.

The Jaguars have agreed an extension with Tyson Campbell for 4 years and $76.5 million with $53.4m guaranteed. He gets his a year early and that's despite him missing 6 games last season.

The Packers training camp began yesterday without Love and he's missing again today. Long may this continue!

They've even signed another QB today, Jacob Eason, presumably because they need another camp arm with Love absent.

Re: Jordan Love Contract

Man, the Packers are going to place a huge bet on Love. He was really good the last 2/3 of the season and had a good playoff game, but that's his entire resume and he might become the highest paid player in the league? Would be absolutely incredible for us if they do this and he falls back to a med...

It's still being reported that the Bears want to continue moving Walker inside on obvious passing downs. When they do then obviously they'll need someone else on the edge. That extra year was for less $1m. The cap hit was negligible. The message it sent wasn't it.

Ogbah and Ngakoue both worked out for the Dolphins, and the Dolphins are signing Ogbah. Wow, of all teams I didn't expect Ogbah to sign with the Dolphins, the team that cut him 2 years into a $65m 4-year deal. I thought they'd cut him because his production had nose-dived following a scheme change ...

The annoying moment in that video is when Williams and Bagent are next to each other throwing passes and the camera keeps panning to Williams' receiver.
