Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

I've been watching some Williams highlights today... and the way he runs reminds me a little but of Matt Forte. Ah, but can it make a cut like this? https://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Matt-Forte-Move-vs-Tampa-Bay-Bucs.gif Also does it mean we'll get frustrated by Williams getting ankle...

Re: Memorabilia, Penmanship, and Tom Brady

I've got plenty of signed photos from the London games where there used to be opportunities to meet a couple of former players from each of the teams, but the photos were supplied for them and given out for free. The queues usually weren't that long and you chatted away with other fans while waiting...

Every team has these unique stickers for their boards. The best one I saw was a team that had a pot leaf sticker for any player that they suspected had a drug or alcohol issue. They don't use emojis then? Blue Chip: https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/love-emoticon-hearts-tongue-out-drooling-50078457.j...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

Happy Caleb Williams day everyone!!! The moment we all lived a lifetime for is here. The Bears are selecting a nearly unanimous elite prospect at QB for the first time ever. Is this really happening? Sure. The Bears absolutely could screw this up. But that's a worry for our future selves. Today is ...

Re: New Uniforms

Have not bought a jersey in awhile and if and when I do it will probably be a PNut #33. Top choice. Always opt for a player who will forever be a Bears legend. There's something rather sad about seeing fans wearing jerseys of players who are now playing for other teams and whose careers with the Be...

In that interview with Poles and him, they did seem to get along extremely well together. They're best friends, very, very cool life they're living No, no, no. Cunningham said Poles was "arguably" one of his best friends! Not sure including that qualifier is a ringing endorsement of Poles...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

ok that looks awesome to me. They are embracing the downtown / lakefront as they absolutely should. I love how they have the 360 views and the giant cutout section to allow for the view of downtown skyline. This looks classy AF to me. The stadium does look great in those renders. At least it didn't...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

At this point, I really think the 4 QB's go first and then the 3 WR's next, with teams trading up hard for them. If the WR class is as deep as claimed then are teams going to trade up hard to grab one of the big 3? I can see all 3 being off the board by the #9 pick but I doubt teams will trade up v...

If the Bears have their bye week after their game in London maybe Tyson can stick around and visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

I like the idea that the Broncos can now play themselves in scrimmages on Sunday and quarantine themselves from the rest of the league. Otherwise, pointless. But let's buy all the stuff now new stuff to buy now buy buy! I agree. Both the Broncos and Texans have so many uniform variations now they m...

But let's look at another factor. Over the past 22 years where as GB typically been drafting? More often than not in the bottom 1/3 or so of the first round right? In some cases maybe even the bottom 20%. How often do team find top shelf blue chip offensive talent that late in round one? Top WR, LT...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Good post here. And the more I think on it, the more my conclusion is "Poles wasted a 4th round pick" moreso than "he can't possibly draft a WR". Regarding Everett, that point was simply to show that he's going to get targets in 2024 and there's only 1 football to go around, any...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I think Poles likes tough guys who don't count a man blocked until he is pancaked Maybe he can mention that to Darnell Wright and Braxton Jones this offseason and tell them to watch Jenkins to see how that's done. So many times on tape Wright seemed to stop after his initial block rather than go lo...

There's going to have to be some wild stuff that happens for Alt to be there at 9. Like historically wild stuff. NE needs a tackle LAC needs a tackle TEN needs a tackle The argument could be made that NYG needs a tackle. It almost have to go like: 1 - QB 2 - QB 3 - QB 4 - QB 5 - WR 6 - WR 7 - WR 8 ...

I've been running this logic through my head and I'm not liking the answer I keep coming up with. WR just isn't making logical sense to me. We traded a 4th for Allen. We are taking CW at #1. Allen is a UFA after this season, and we aren't really in a position to think Super Bowl this year. So, a lo...
