Re: Justin Fields traded to Pittsburgh for conditional pick
I guess I always envisioned Poles hanging onto Fields deep into preseason until a team had their starting qb getting hurt and was desperate for qb talent and Poles trading him then for significantly better value. I’m all for getting rid of Fields for CW, but this seems like a fleecing that I never a...

Re: Eddie Jackson: Return on a smaller contract?
No way. Bad angles, bad tackling, oft-injured. I wouldn't even have him back as a backup. I'd rather develop younger talent.

Would love to see him throw the ball before the receiver makes his break. That’s what I really like about Bagent.

Brisker in concussion protocol once again
Jaquan Brisker has had two concussions in two years. Not exactly the type of thing that is conducive to a very long career in the NFL. Love the guy’s potential, but he needs to be concerned with the potential for CTE with all the brain trauma he has sustained in in his young career. https://www.nbcs...

This team is definitely cursed. There's no other explanation for the way fate continually conspires against it. Came here to lament but you summed it up perfectly. I've accepted it. It is a consistent from year to year that anchors me. I have grown fond of yearly visitor who casts a dark shadow ove...

Why do I think they got it backwards? Pickens should be the 3 and Dexter should be the 1.
Didn't we think that in the offseason?

Re: Momentum: Will we see it Sunday?
Sunday's game depends on whether the defense is playing the loose Tampa 2 zone or a tight one. Seemed like we tightened it up last game in the second half and started to send some blitzers as well. Seems like the secondary will be more aggressive without Jefferson to deal with.

Re: NFL GM Confirms the Chicago Bears Are Leaning Towards Firing Everybody
Well, to be fair, my post wasn’t about “this why the Bears will always fail.” It’s more of “this is why the Bears have always failed,” along with “thank god we have Kevin Warren to put this repeated cycle to an end.” But then again, I am putting a lot of faith into an unknown commodity, Kevin Warre...

But your stance is equally as speculative. And a good portion of the posts on this board are speculative. We’re not reporting - we’re posting our thoughts and sometimes vague recollections. It’s simply a conversation in written form. That’s all. BTW, if past is prologue in regards to George McCaske...

Re: NFL GM Confirms the Chicago Bears Are Leaning Towards Firing Everybody
I have read articles indicating GMcC and Ted Phillips had interviewed Flus prior to interviewing and offering the GM position to Poles partly because he was on board with hiring Flus. Did he have a choice? But I'll be glad to review any pieces you can link for me that refute this. If I'm wrong I'll...

Re: NFL GM Confirms the Chicago Bears Are Leaning Towards Firing Everybody
"letting previous GM make pick for next regime" is such an odd complaint. What? For any other player than a QB, then yes, that is an odd complaint. But previous regimes picking a QB when everyone knows they’re on their way out, no, it’s not. It’s an extremely valid complaint and one plagu...

Re: NFL GM Confirms the Chicago Bears Are Leaning Towards Firing Everybody
You can keep trying to make this true by repeating it over and over, but literally every piece of available information supports that Flus was selected by Poles. They go way back. The history is there, all you have to do is look at it. I have read articles indicating GMcC and Ted Phillips had inter...

Re: NFL GM Confirms the Chicago Bears Are Leaning Towards Firing Everybody
Yeah, I don’t like the uninspiring ramblings of Erik Lambert, but if there is an actual GM who is saying this, then that is interesting. Plus, I gotta feel that Kevin Warren has to be thinking about burning the place down…. And it’s kind of exciting that a real professional is thinking about doing i...

NFL GM Confirms the Chicago Bears Are Leaning Towards Firing Everybody
According to a Sports Mockery article, an NFL GM who has inside information believes Kevin Warren has seen enough. Even Poles is being considered. From his targeting of Larry Ogunjobi to his acquisitions of Chase Claypool and Nate Davis, Kevin Warren has not been impressed. https://www.sportsmockery...

Didn't say we looked any better. The first overall pick may very well go to the loser of our game with them. The other team will get the second pick.
Hoping we get to root for a tie
That’s the thing, right? Which team losing gives us the higher draft pick?

Yeah, I went with week 10. I feel they're going to give Fields over half the season to get his shit together, which he won't because he doesn't know what he is looking at when the ball is snapped. Re: So, from now on - Jordan Love is "Daddy"
Yet Jordan Love had superior numbers to Aaron Rogers in his initial game… Justin Fields is a freakish athlete. Unbelievable skills without a doubt, but does not seem to have the instincts to play QB in the NFL at a high level. Can that change? Maybe. But I saw zero improvement from him with an off-s...
