Re: R1 P9: Rome Odunze, WR - Washington
Waldron knows how to scheme for multiple targets to receive multiple targets.
We have 3 WRs that are capable of putting up 1000 yards each.
The tools are in the shed, so to speak, now it’s time to get to work!

Re: Late Draft Rumors
Odunze is heavily favored to go at pick 9 in mock drafts. A small % has the Bears trading out of 9. I think that's skewed, though, in that many mockers do few/no trades, because they just don't want to deal with the complexity and messiness. That’s true. I’m not a major advocate of Odunze because I...

Late Draft Rumors
Keon Coleman has been cracking into some top 32 lists recently, while other have him still around 42. Maybe some WR needy teams are dropping his name as a guy they like? (Bills, Chiefs?) Also seeing more smoke concerning a CB cracking the top 10; bumping edge rushers (Turner to 11-12) Odunze is heav...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository
I get the sense that there is something ELSE the Bears want from Arlington Heights. As has been previously pointed out, a million here, a million there in taxes are single-digit percentage points in the larger scheme. Certainly not worth killing the deal over. I think there is another key point - s...

Re: 30 Visits
Added JC Latham to the list. Man, I wonder why no Byron Murphy II....I'm really feeling like a trade back to around #12 and then a selection of the best 3T in the class would be the best call here. I wonder if they're genuinely not interested or if possibly they are trying to conceal their interest...

Re: The Great BFO Food, Recipe, & Eating Thread
I had some company show up for the eclipse last minute and had to feed them, so I threw a couple racks of spare ribs on the smoker at 300 for 1.5 hours before turning it down to 190 for 25-30 minutes to try and get some more smoke on them. Internal temp was ~172 when I pulled them off and because th...

From today’s Daily Herald. Like a BOSS … ‘ But Rowe believes the organizational shift in focus from the suburbs back to the city has to do with the change in leadership of team president — from Ted Phillips, who inked the initial deal to buy Arlington Park before retiring, to Warren, who for months...

Re: DJ Moore's Comment
What needs to be understood is that DJ Moore has been through QB hell in his career. He's obviously an extremely talented WR and he's had to overcome a lot. He didn't have anybody at Carolina to really get him the ball. So then he comes here and he's got JF1 and they clicked. For the first time in ...

That Dylan Laube is one of my favorite value guys in the draft.
Fast, runs good routes from slot or backfield, can catch anything, isn't afraid to lower his shoulder at times, changes direction pretty well.

If Nabers falls to 9, it's a no brainer.
Otherwise, I'm hoping the Eagles will give me 22, 50 ,53 for 9 and 122

Re: 2024 NFL Free Agency chatter, there will be punch and pie
Maybe the truthers are right and Fields won't be traded... maybe he hasn't been made available and the Bears are in fact going to trade down. Giving Fields two seasons worth of chances after having the #1 pick in back-to-back years would be BOLD. One season I get - they were never taking a QB last ...

Re: 2024 NFL Free Agency chatter, there will be punch and pie
Wasn't familiar with Rondale Moore so I looked up his stats: 5'7" 180 lbs averaged 400 yds/season for three years. The Bears need bigger receivers so Moore probably was not on Poles' radar. That and there is already somebody else on the team catching passes named Moore. What's abolutely crazy ...

Based on what we've done so far, where we need to shore up the roster and positional value at the pick, I give you: Chicago Bears 1 Caleb Williams QB | USC 22 Jackson Powers-Johnson IOL | Oregon (Mitchell and Worthy were available, but liked the value of Powers Johnson better and hoped some 2nd tier...

Chuffin hell - overpay alert For one of the top edge rushers in the league? Hardly. 2 years is surprising though. He'll turn 30 during the season. You'd think he'd want at least another year and if he does keep performing at a high level you'd think the Texans would like to have him under contract ...

Bagent needs a ton of film study and needs to throw against a teams #1 defense all off season to learn the angles and understand what throws he's being suckered into throwing.
But he's capable of running an offense.

Re: Bears trade 5th rd pick to Bills for OL Ryan Bates
I simply see this as Poles knowing the positions he’s targeting with his early picks and knowing that he couldn’t get as quality of an IOL as Bates in the 5th based on his own draft projections. If that's the logic, then Poles should trade every day 3 draft pick for more sure thing players then, ri...

Re: Some Free Agent ideas, your thoughts?
There's not a lot of QB's that he's worked with out there that you'd bring in as a backup. John Woolford doesn't inspire much confidence. Sean Mannion and Blake Bortles have retired. Case Keenun is like 38. I suppose Drew Lock might be the best option if they are looking for someone with familiarit...
