Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

Does not quite offer what can be built on the AH site - hotels, restaurants, a Bears "experience", etc. So is Warren and the Bears "emotionally" tied to staying in Chicago on the lake front, will this influence their decision or is strictly business? Friends of the Park didn't c...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

Chicago also won't see a Superbowl in the new stadium if they try and develop on the lakefront. Why would that be? It seems to me if the stadium is on the lakefront, it becomes a more likely site than if out in the 'burbs. Fan get to come and stay in Chicago the whole time and don't have the commut...

Yeah, pretty positive he isn't trading down from #9.
I'm not.

However, I won't be surprised if it's only slightly longer than the trade down for Wright.
Same.

It's entirely possible Poles stays at #9, of course. And I'm not a betting guy. But I anticipate a move there.

Yes, this is largely because he appears to be stiff as a board and can't really bend. Good dude, tho. He's a fringe roster guy at this point, but you can do worse. When he was coming out of ND, I really thought it would be best if he put on 15-20lbs and moved to TE. But that ship has probably saile...

EQ is a hell of a blocker. Hands are iffy, tho. Wouldn’t hate another year with him here. He's fast, blocks well, and his hands aren't that bad...but he might be the worst route runner the Bears have had in the last 10 years. Yes, this is largely because he appears to be stiff as a board and can't ...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

I'm getting excited AF about Caleb Williams. My post Fields hangover has lifted, I have visions of CW throwing to DJ and Allen and Kmet, dumping off to Swift and scoring 30 PPG. I still feel like Fields got a raw deal here, but I'm over it completely. I'm not over it "completely" yet, but...

In my experience, Friends of the Park doesn't much consider compromise on anything. Their stances tend to be extremely balck/white.

(Their role is to protect the city lakefront for public use, so I get it.)

Turner is definitely a top 10 pick. From a talent standpoint, Latu absolutely is. Just depends on how teams feel about his health. Turner is absolutely a top 10 pick, for a 3-4 team. Maybe the Bears think he can play DE, I dunno. I have doubts about it, but I've been wrong before. I'd bet he's Atla...

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure no one has any doubts about Caleb Williams as a football talent. (I certainly don't.) Any concerns about him are about his intangibles. If those are good? I think they signed Coleman to start at C and traded for Bates to be insurance inside. I'll be surprised if they don't look to draft someone to be the the heir apparent to Coleman, especially with him only inking a one-year deal.

I really don't think they did. They traded a #1 overall pick for a top tier WR, had a great TE at his disposal, used their top pick after trading back on an OL. They changed the offense to suit his style. Provided a strong defense. I'm not saying the team was perfect, but let's not act like they di...
