Re: Day 3
I liked what I saw from Stover and think another downfield TE to develop behind Everett isn’t bad. I’m going to say Austin Booker and if not Dadrian Taylor-Demerson just based on 30 visits. Since that seemed bigger this year than previous. I like Limmer and Bortolini Alfredo but think a 2025 2nd is ...

So excited! Would’ve been good with most anyone being mocked to us but wanted Odunze. Watched more Washington games than I planned and love this kid. Played hurt. Dog at the combine. And wow the interviews. Last night was transformational!

Re: The 2024 Draft
This whole Byron Murphy thing is starting to go off the rails. Yes, getting excessive. But I'd be a lot happier with it at 14 than 9, at least. I'd like it better at 14 than 9, but don't hate it at 9 either. There's a lot of love but the a lot of people who love him are have good credentials.

Re: Different trade scenario
The problem with this is that if you go edge in round 1, the draft is so deep at WR you're going to find a damn good one in the third, maybe even in a trade down from the third. I still think that Brendan Rice makes a whole lot of sense as Caleb is already familiar with him. But there's also somebo...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
I'm pretty much make the WR corps like Burrow had year 2 and grab Odunze if he's there. I know DE is a need, but in the Poles era Justin Jones main FA signing and high picks on Brisker and Gordon year 1. Last year Edmunds, Edwards, Billings, Walker, and Ngaukwe (plus an OG) main FA. Drafted two CB, ...

Much higher on Legette than Corley. I don't think Fiske drops that far though as I don't see him lasting until day 3.

Re: "The NFL QB Who Didn't Give A ****"
Front office said Cutler should be good regardless. So we didn’t give any protection or weapons. Reason QB fails is Bears DNA. Think we might finally break that lack of foresight.southdakbearfan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 8:29 pm Martz and Tice, those two couldn’t pass for retarded if you added their IQ’s together.

So we traded Fields for a pick that come week 6 we'll use on a back up OL or kick returner. This is barely above the minimum we could have traded him for. I am all for Caleb but this is bad return.

Re: 6 names to add this offseason
Not just that Ark, trading Fields requires the new QB to not just pan out, but to be elite. Elite play is the only way one can justify passing on a historic trade down haul. And the odds are just very much against that happening. Could it happen? Yes, it could, but historically speaking it's unlike...

Re: Biggs: Not a question if Bears draft a QB, it's simply which one
Biggs getting upset at people having a different opinion is elite lack of self awareness. He’s a sports writer for fucks sake, questioning Bears players and coaches is literally his job. It's my sense that a lot the old media is a bit fed up with the opinions of fan boy vloggers, twitter kings, pod...

Traded Justin for a 2nd and a future conditional 4th that could be a 3rd if he plays 60% of offensive snaps. Speed. Speed. And more speed. Draft Caleb. Traded down from 9 after all the WRs and Bowers went in the first 8 picks. Laitu was available at 17 but his medical retirement scares us off and w...

Re: Honest answers: Would you be more open-minded about Drake Maye if he wasn't #10 from North Carolina?
How is our biggest weakness QB? Is JF1 a bigger problem than Whitehair snapping the ball into the stands? DJ Moore being the only good WR? Only having one pass rusher on the roster? No, he’s not. We aren’t one player away from fixing this team. We’re 3 / 4 / 5 players away. That’s why I don’t care ...

So do we want to keep same number of roster spots, number of keepers, and 5 rounds? I think we said we'd see how league looked like with 15 teams and make a decision. Just putting it out there.

Re: Defensive line thoughts
There's Verse, who doesn't play the run particularly well. And there's Latu, who doesn't play the run at all. I have a hard time picturing either as a Bear under this GM and head coach. So after that, you're looking at Bralen Trice maybe making it to Day 2, or Brennan Jackson and (perhaps) Eric Wat...

Interesting mock draft I just saw: Chicago trades #1 to Washington for #2, #36 and #40 Caleb Williams goes #1 We draft Marvin Harrison, Jr. #2 We draft Jared Verse #9 No future first round picks, but we get #36 and #40 this year to address iOL/Move-TE/RB/DB etc. Thoughts? I would do this in a heart...
