Re: R5 P144: Austin Booker, Edge - Kansas
He's going to take a year of development to be a 3 down DE. But like a lot of people have already said, he'll be a great 3rd down, "go get the QB" this year. One thing that was really intriguing to me was his length and power for a 245lbs DE. Watching some of his highlights, he was throwi...

Re: What about 2025???
According to the current 2025 big board at the NFL mock database, there are 12 DTs inside the top 53 players (which is nuts!) and 5 EDGE prospects in the top 25.

Re: Bears / Hard Knocks
Initially, I felt that forcing the Bears and their new rookie QB even further into the limelight of Hard Knocks would be bad for the team. I feared that such a move could backfire into a total distraction and set Caleb and his relationship with coaches and veterans off on the wrong foot and set him ...

So the Falcons have taken Ohrohro, Trice and now Dalrus. They may have skipped D with pick #8 but they're sure going to work now. Bummer to lose out on Dorlus.

Re: Day 3
My top remaining for day 3. 1. SAF, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson. Not sure why he's still undrafted. Could start immediately if Byard doesn't work out. 2. EDGE, Austin Booker. High upside pass rusher. 3. DT/DE, Brandon Dolrus. Good fit and flexibility player in Flus's DL. 4. C/G, Mason McCormick. Highly ...

Re: 'Get all of Wales on board with the Chicago Bears'
I still love Bagent. I'm so glad he's a Bear. BTW, it'll be interesting to see the Bagent and Caleb relationship develop--something tells me they'll hit it off well. They're both very much GenZ and just a year apart in age but they come from such different backgrounds. Bagent from back country West ...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsczrmkO-Yc Something tells me that the replies, mindset, philosophy and approach to football (and life) which were revealed in this long interview would not materially differ from what the Bears coaches and front office would have gleaned from their own interviews. ...

Re: 30 Visits
Jared Verse now confirmed for a visit. So basically, the Bears have had all 4 of the top DEs (Turner, Verse, Latu, Robinson,) all 3 of the top WRs (MHJ, Nabers, Odunze,) 3 top Centers (JPJ, Barton, Frazier) and a few others in for the 30 visits. Again, not a single DT prospect. Seems odd. Smokescreen?

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
For all the Odunze fans out there... You'll like this one. A couple nuggets: - He was inspired to play football as a boy by watchin Devin Hester Highlight videos. - He models his game after three pro receivers, one of whom is Keenan Allen Very intelligent young man. He and Caleb are definitely repre...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread
The whole point of the commentator's comment was that good players find ways to put chips on their shoulder by creating a sense of being disrespected. They invent or imagine adversity to motivate themselves...that's literally what the speaker is saying Caleb hasn't done and that is literally what Ca...

Re: 30 Visits
Added JC Latham to the list. Man, I wonder why no Byron Murphy II....I'm really feeling like a trade back to around #12 and then a selection of the best 3T in the class would be the best call here. I wonder if they're genuinely not interested or if possibly they are trying to conceal their interest ...

That might not be enough to get them out of the bottom 10, though.

Re: 30 Visits
Brock Bowers 30 visit is noteworthy... As we know, the Bears just re-signed TE 1 to a 4 year extension at roughly $12M per year and we also added our TE2 in Gerald Everett with a 2 year, $12M deal with $6M guaranteed-- meaning we can end it with no cap hit after 1 year. It is not a reach to say that...

I'm pretty checked out until the draft, so apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but this comment from Flus recently was pretty interesting: “I like the numbers in terms of the talented players that can get to nine,” Poles said, via the team’s website. “We’re going to do some cool things whe...
