Re: R1 P1: Caleb Williams, QB - USC
The more I see of Williams, especially in the off-the-cuff stuff that's come out tonight, the more I think he confused some people not because he's outrageously flamboyant or morbidly self-obsessed or any of the other labels some idiots tried to pin on him, but because he's roughly 61% cool nerd. J...

Re: R1 P9: Rome Odunze, WR - Washington
I have to reorient my brain here. We intend to win with offense and out score people. It’s…..huh. Such a foreign concept for me, but should be fun

We have a top 5 offense now. It’s wild to think how much talent we have on offense, never in my life as a Bears fan have I seen it.

Re: 2024 Draft - How Many Picks?
So the whole "Grizzly" talk from Poles, I'm going to trust. I think he stays put at #9 and takes one of his grizzlys. He seens to like his mid round picks and seems pretty damn good at them. I'm guessing he trades back several times from that 3rd round and ends up with a shit ton of 4, 5,...

Re: 'Get all of Wales on board with the Chicago Bears'
I still love Bagent. I'm so glad he's a Bear. BTW, it'll be interesting to see the Bagent and Caleb relationship develop--something tells me they'll hit it off well. They're both very much GenZ and just a year apart in age but they come from such different backgrounds. Bagent from back country West...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
I agree that MHJr is the best bet of the bunch. WR3 in this draft, not so much. Until he is drafted by someone else, I'm living the dream. Stranger things have happened on draft day. I know you are on the Dline train. If the improbable happens and they walk out of this draft with Williams and MHJ, ...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
Can’t miss guys don’t exist. That's an old and broken platitude you want to use to counter a term that means something different than you're trying to make it. It's not a literal term and not reality when seen this way. The odds of a failure due to lack of talent are far lower with top picks who ar...

ok that looks awesome to me. They are embracing the downtown / lakefront as they absolutely should. I love how they have the 360 views and the giant cutout section to allow for the view of downtown skyline. This looks classy AF to me.

This would be pretty great. I'm not sure we need all that volume at the lower end, but I sure appreciate adding a Punter in there. And I love the first 2 picks so I was sold right there lol...I also think S is a sneaky need for us so was happy to see one fairly high here.

Re: 2024 Draft - How Many Picks?
And have the Packers defenses generally been better than ours? In general I'd say no. We have typically drafted much better for defense than they have while they kicked our asses with their offenses. But let's look at another factor. Over the past 22 years where as GB typically been drafting? More ...

Slightly flawed premise here (would count Roquan as a miss) - but those are more corner cases that would only slightly change these percentages

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
He plays DL, therefore I’d be happy with the pick. Sure. And let's not forget that we never replaced Justin Jones at DT. Even if you subscribe to the Dexter improved enough to start argument, there's little behind him to rotate in. That would be quite a rotational pair. Or put them on the field tog...

Re: Jer’zhan Newton
Outside of QB, my "need" ranking is: Pass Rusher (preferably off the edge) WR OL (doesn't matter if it's T/G/C, but preferably IOL) 3rd TE LB I don't have S or Corner on my list for 2024. DT specifically is pretty low too. They have Dexter/Pickens/Billings/Walker/Cowart. And there's still...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
Good post here. And the more I think on it, the more my conclusion is "Poles wasted a 4th round pick" moreso than "he can't possibly draft a WR". Regarding Everett, that point was simply to show that he's going to get targets in 2024 and there's only 1 football to go around, any ...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread
I'm not comparing them at all. Ryan Leaf is simply the poster child for "all the talent in the world but a massive ego derailed his career". They are VERY different football players in style and everything else... I think most of the stuff on CW is BS and created because people need clicks...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread
... We’ve seen nothing like that from Williams to date - in fact, just the opposite. He’s been attending the Quarterback Collective, in part under the tutelage of Shane Waldron, to get a head start on running the Shanahan/McVay offense. An overconfident player likely doesn’t do that. Nothing report...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
I've definitely waffled on this as draft day approaches, but I've found myself now just two days out fairly cemented in the "don't take a WR at 9" camp. We've already done the "super duper offense thing" by adding Caleb Williams, Swift, Keenan Allen, Everett, and Bates/Shelton -...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
I've been running this logic through my head and I'm not liking the answer I keep coming up with. WR just isn't making logical sense to me. We traded a 4th for Allen. We are taking CW at #1. Allen is a UFA after this season, and we aren't really in a position to think Super Bowl this year. So, a lot...
