Re: 2024 Offseason Program

Herbert has no trade value IMO, better keeping him as depth. I wouldn't say he has no trade value. Poles can get pretty creative sometimes. Maybe he can be used to improve on a current position as opposed to accepting a 6th or 7th round pick for him. If there are no offers now wait 'til camps open ...

Re: Borom may be in jeopardy

Seconds after Wright was drafted last year, Borom sent out a tweet saying "lol" (and then quickly deleted it ). He thinks he's starter material. He is probably alone in that regard. Check that, his gramma might think he is too. His mama does not. Posted this in another thread - If you are...

Some Edge stats: https://twitter.com/arjunmenon100/status/1777810913980191168/photo/1 Does Verse's agent run Edge? lol I ask because that chart shows that Verse beats out Latu slightly in Pass Rush win rate. I call BS to that. Latu had 13 sacks and 21.5 TFLs. Verse had 9 and 12.5 respectively. I'm ...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I think Poles (and ‘flus) have basic physical requirements for DL (especially). Despite the tape, Murphy literally doesn’t measure up to what they want in a 3T. I would truly be shocked if they drafted him at 9. Yeah I do as well but as I think about it, I don't necessarily believe height is as imp...

Re: Different trade scenario

IMO playing to the strengths of the draft means getting good players later in the draft than usually would be there. So I favor taking a WR at 75, or many of the various trade down scenarios that have been kicked around and taking one in the 2nd. Watch Poles take a CB and all our heads explode. Yep...

Re: Different trade scenario

It sounds like Ryan Poles understands how important the lines are and some of us here do not. The arguments for taking a WR for the Bears second pick do not hold water. If he doesn't trade down, I foresee a QB, two linemen and then perhaps a WR. I bet you, Bearfacts, that Poles takes two linemen be...

Then I go Jared Verse and Ricky Pearsall, or one of the Texas WRs (who I don't expect to be there at 44).
Very plausible.

Re: Different trade scenario

WR can be gotten later on - As a general concept

Doesn't mean you are absolutely going to get one that is good

This also hasn't been the strength of Poles so far (he has many, many strengths mind you)

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

Imo, Justin Fields’ lack of development as a passer made trading back for yet another “haul” unlikely. A struggling 4th year QB with a 5th year option decision looming likely made acquiring a quality oc problematic and set the stage for the kind of QB uncertainty now facing Minnesota and Las Vegas....

I feel like finding an elite 3T is almost as hard as finding an elite QB. There's no Aaron Donald type prospect in this class (at least according to the experts), so chasing that seems foolish to me. There's no Aaron Donald type prospect in any draft that isn't Aaron Donald It's a comp that shouldn...

Interesting that some of you don't like Odunze when all of the scouting reports and coaching intel and opinions call him elite. Of the three top WR it's Nabers who actually graded the highest post Combine probably because of his speed and YAC ability. Then came MHJr and Odunze but there not much to...
