Re: The 2024 Draft

M5, be sure to tell your son I hate that his team drafted Jordan Morgan, Jacob Monk, and Michael Pratt, so we're kinda even. :D Thunder - what am I missing on Morgan? Do you think he was still not 100% at Senior Bowl? Because the movement skills were not top caliber there - I had him Guard all the ...

Re: R5 P144: Austin Booker, Edge - Kansas

Some quoted excerpts from Bob McGinn's annual anony-scout quotes. “I think he probably came out because the defensive side of the (draft) is lighter,” one scout said. “Shouldn’t have. You may not be able to count on him immediately. He’s a really, really interesting guy. He can be a designated rush...

I was a bit disappointed that an Irish guy announced the pick, not HRS or DD. I don't know why you think the guy was Irish! Every time we draft a tackle.
He’s got over 700 highly graded snaps at guard. So yeah.
It's also not the worst thing for a Rookie to play Guard

He was. I stand corrected At my age mixing up to schools that close geographically counts as a near miss I have gotten (and will continue) to get the Washington OT/Guard mixed up with Oregon St OT. Re: The 2024 Draft

The Penix thing still blows my mind. It’s like the whole Glennon/Trubisky situation. That's sure not the comparison I'd make I mean, yes, you're bringing a FA and high draft pick in together. But Cousins is a highly paid, proven stud*. Glennon was young and a 3rd round pick who'd had 1.5 very sligh...

Re: The 2024 Draft

The cost to trade into round II tonight will be prohibitive, but I would venture to say our 2025 2nd plus a 2026 3rd is what it might take to get into the high 30's, so you can then you can try for JPJ. Other than that I'd do the same but a 2026 4th for a 2nd rounder in the 40's. For pick 3.75 I'd ...

Re: Jer’zhan Newton

I really want the Texas monster in the 3rd now (some even have him slipping to 4th) He can't give you 80% of the snaps ......50% is absolutely pushing it But he can give you dominant snaps Absolutely perfect guy for a rotation I definitely like him. Re: 2024 Draft - How Many Picks?

If you are gonna go crazy there is definately a two trade down scenario in Round 1.

Go back to between 12-15 from 9. Then Bowers is still on the Board and KC wants to come up to get the Kelsey replacement

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I am going out on a limb here saying I don't think they will draft Alt. First, they don't really need a LT and Second Alt appears to be a finesse technician (much like last years ND favorite Peter Skoronski). I think Poles likes tough guys who don't count a man blocked until he is pancaked, and I d...

Herbert has no trade value IMO, better keeping him as depth. I wouldn't say he has no trade value. Poles can get pretty creative sometimes. Maybe he can be used to improve on a current position as opposed to accepting a 6th or 7th round pick for him. If there are no offers now wait 'til camps open ...

Seconds after Wright was drafted last year, Borom sent out a tweet saying "lol" (and then quickly deleted it ). He thinks he's starter material. He is probably alone in that regard. Check that, his gramma might think he is too. His mama does not. Posted this in another thread - If you are...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I think Poles (and ‘flus) have basic physical requirements for DL (especially). Despite the tape, Murphy literally doesn’t measure up to what they want in a 3T. I would truly be shocked if they drafted him at 9. Yeah I do as well but as I think about it, I don't necessarily believe height is as imp...
