Re: Bad journalism and the failure to communicate

I used to stay on top of what is happening by visiting the /r/news subreddit on Reddit but after they killed most of the 3rd party apps for browsing their site I went for a period of time really not knowing anything about what was going on the in the world. Honestly, I didn't miss it at all since it...

I can't believe some of you. I hope our division rivals are crushed by that shit bag team from San Fran. Much more interested in the Ravens Chiefs game. I'm pulling for the Ravens, but think the Chiefs are gonna win. Should be a classic. For now I still see the Lions as underdogs who have been beat...

I personally don’t have any beef with Detroit and hope they win the whole thing just because it would be their first. I can’t imagine what downtown Detroit would look like if that happened.

Re: NFL Playoffs - Divisional Round

How do you ever know which it is? I feel you can argue either side depending on which side you're trying to defend. If they were slow players, you’d think it wild show up at the combine or something Claypool was just one of many guys who had all the metrics you want but never could put it together ...

Re: NFL Playoffs - Divisional Round

Watching the playoffs and I’ve noticed how much faster teams are on offense than the Bears. Not just pure speed, but linemen faster off the ball, backs faster to the hole, receivers faster in and out of their breaks, quarterbacks faster in their drops. Everything is sped up compared to the Bears. S...

A little surprised by this one. He seemed to know his way around the cap well and also got our rookies signed quickly, a lot of the times before any other teams had.

Re: CJ Stroud

The Bears were not looking for a QB this year. Why does this have to be brought up? It is a non subject. If they were looking QB and he drafted someone else, sure it is a topic. But he wasn't looking so this is a non issue. He had the number 1 pick, which means either he missed on his evaluation of...

Re: Bears retain Eberflus as head coach

I think Poles sticking with Eberflus is really tying himself to Eberflus’s success with the team in 2024. So far Poles has shown himself to be a savvy negotiator when it comes to trades as well as having a good eye for talent in the draft but I think the jury is still out on his ability to pick a HC...

I really hope this means Justin will stay. To keep a potentially lame duck HC and then draft a QB is exactly what the Bears have done in the past and we’ve seen where that’s gotten us.

Re: Update: Jaylon Johnson not traded

Courtesy of Mark Potash: Rarely has a player without skill-position stats made as much of a “prove-it” season as Johnson. When Johnson played, the Bears’ passer rating allowed was 88.8 (24 touchdowns, 21 interceptions) — which would be seventh in the NFL. In three games he did not play, it was 116....

I just bought an indoor digital TV antenna to try it out so I'm not 3 plays behind everybody on the games in Discord. Wish me luck. This is what I do since I’m in the Chicago area. Even have a setup where I can record to my laptop in case I’m going to be out of the house when a game is on. Only cha...

This just guarantees that from now on the Falcons will light up the Saints on every victory formation so this may be the last time you see that formation in their games. The Saints players have nullified the point of it.

Yeah give me 4 years and a championship. Then he can retire at 65 and we can all be happy.
So if the impossible happens and he’s hired, how much are the Bears on the hook for with Flus?

Re: Game Balls and Horns Wk 18 vs GB

So many people giving Velus Jones a game ball just about sums up both the game and the low standards we have for this team. I mean the guy retuned 4 KOs with a long of 34 yards and an average of 28.3 yards, and the Bears started those drives at the 31 yard line, 34 yard line (after he caught the ba...

Re: WK 18 // Bears (7-9) @ Packers (8-8)

If you have only ONE WR you can trust..and one TE on shorter throws..it may take .6 to read the little option you have .. That certainly plays a part but Fields had the longest time to throw among all QBs for 2023. If it was only due to the weapons available you would expect Bryce Young or Zach Wil...

I have no idea what Sanborn was trying to say here.
I took it that he was putting the initial bad play on themselves, the players, and that none of them could envision back then that they would turn out to be a pretty solid defense.
