Re: R3 P75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT - Yale
As it stands I don't see Jones playing inside as much as I can see either Wright or Amengadjie playing there. We have three guys drafted as OT all of whom can play OG. If Jones can make that transition then we'd have a very young and versatile OL. As for Amengadjie he's got some work to do before h...

If you mean "is he literally capable of making letters, words, and sentences?", I'm fairly sure he is. If you mean "does he have professional writing credits?", no, I don't think so. Apparently, Mr. McNown is doing just fine for himself. https://www.linkedin.com/in/cmcnown?utm_s...

Re: R3 P75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT - Yale
I also think you could slide Braxton inside for 2025 and have him play RG when the Bears cut Davis' ass for another year of futility. What if our starting OL in 2025 was; Amegadjie - Jenkins - Shelton - Jones - Wright I don't know if Jones can play OG, but if he can then I'd keep him on the left an...

Re: R5 P144: Austin Booker, Edge - Kansas
Word is Booker weighed in at 253lbs at his pro day. If that's accurate he's already working on gaining some bulk. Give him a year with an NFL nutritionist and some weight training and he'll probably play around 255lbs give or take.

Re: The 2024 Draft
Yup, another huge benefit and we added yet another OL this year who has a good shot at becoming a starter within two years. I'm hoping Tevin Jenkins finally makes it through an entire 17 game season and makes an All Pro team. I think Poles would love to keep him but he's gotta show he can play a fu...

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa
Yeah, I think we sometimes forget about how crucial field position can be in tight games. This kid has a knack for planting kicks near the goal line that don't bounce into the end zone and can be downed deep. Gill was not getting the job done. ST are 1/3 of the game and we needed some upgrading ther...

2023; DJ Moore, Darnell Wright, Tyrique Stevenson 2024; Caleb Williams, 2025; ? 2nd round pick A vet #1 WR, a starting RT, a starting LCB, the top QB in the 2024 draft, and player to be named in the 2nd round of 2025. Re: The 2024 Draft
Having Moore still on the deal he signed with Carolina is a real boon since his cap cost is only $16 mil this year and next. That's what makes Allen affordable now and through 2025. The question with Allen is will he accept a one year extension or will he be looking for one more longer term deal. T...

Re: The 2024 Draft
Merging some of the rando draft related threads. Thank you. It was getting sort of confusing. DJ Moore will be just 29 in 2026 so I believe that if he's healthy and productive Poles will look to extend him for another 3-4 years during the 2025 season. These two expiring deals is one reason why draf...

If Poles went out of his way to acquire both of those guys--with the intension of not paying either--then he should be fired. Like, tomorrow. The way I see it is this; 1st; Williams 1st; Odunze 2nd; Sweat 3rd; Amengadjie 4th; Allen 4th; Taylor 5th; Bates 5th; Booker If the pundits are willing to take all of this into consideration it's an A+ draft and then some. Quick, good size and length, has some moves he can use, productive. He's precisely the kind of player I was talking about. He'll need to get bigger and stronger to play as an every down DE but for now he's a kid who can bring some pressure off the edge. In a draft so thin on DL talent how did this ...

Gotta love seeing the offensive line finally addressed in the draft: 6 ol in three years of Poles' drafts, two in the first three round. Whatta difference eh? No more trying to turn JWebb's and Frank Omigod's into starting NFL OT. I gotta good feeling about this kid. He's got the size and some tool...

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa
At least we never have to watch Trent Gill boom a 33 yard punt anymore. Yup, and I guess I need to retract my previous posts that there is no way Poles would draft a Punter having only 4 picks. So I'll eat my crow a little on the crispy side and say G'day Tory Taylor the Iowa Aussie Punter. And in ...

Re: Day 3
I dont want to see a TE as it is not as big of a need imo. We need to develop a young C, and we need an edge rusher. I dont understand how cap issues work etc, but since we had such a small draft class, we dont have to have as much money set aside to sign them. Maybe Poles is going to be a little m...

And why is Dallas Turner seen as loser because Minny took him? Simply because he was projected as a top 10 pick and the first defensive player to be taken and he dropped to 17th and was the 3rd defensive player selected. Aside from any perceived prestige there's quite a drop off financially too. Od...

A running back??? Yup. I don't think Herbert can stay healthy. And, I'm still high on Johnson's potential--but he certainly hasn't shown that he can be "the guy". Swift is good...but he's just that. Good. A true weapon in the backfield would go a long ways towards making this offense scar...

Re: Day 3
If he can get on this would be the spot to draft an Edge guy. I'm really high on Kamara because I've seen him play here at CSU. He's a more compact version of a Jared Verse. Mostly a power rusher but he's also very quick. When he keeps his pad level low he's very tough to block and he has a non-stop...
