Re: Wk 1 // CHICAGO BEARS vs GREEN BAY PACKERS
I am so amped up for this game. A bit of a personal side note - I went through a divorce this Spring / Summer and I have decent custody time with my kids. My ex and I negotiated most of it and we are getting along well. On our first meeting to discuss issues, I told her I wanted the kids over at my ...

Re: Possible Trade Partners
That's true. But how many times did Gabriel take the top off and score a TD. Once? Twice? Not good enough if his primary weapon is speed. How many times did Gabriel going deep spread the defense enough to open up an intermediate significant gainer for Burton, Cohen, Robinson or somebody else? Speed...

Re: Possible Trade Partners
We’ve spent years looking for the kind of talent that we have now...Let’s enjoy it. The obsession with draft capital blows my mind..you dont trade your number 1 WR because of your back end talent, if anything, you trade the back end talent. Agreed - we're in win now mode. I think the back end talen...

Man, the more I watch and read about this guy, the more pumped I am to watch him play. He's such a high character guy that I just want to see him succeed.Mikefive wrote:Why David Montgomery is so good.

Re: The RB position
By week one, ideally, I think it will be Montgomery/Cohen/Davis/Whyte. I think Whyte can be effective enough to take Tarik’s place on special teams, earning him a roster spot. Patterson does not make the roster in this scenario. I didn't think of that scenario - if he can relieve Cohen of PR duties...

Re: Bears hosting Ha Ha Clinton Dix
The only part I don't like about this is that it says he is likely seeking 4/42. That's more than what we offered Amos by quite a bit. Hopefully those numbers are baseless speculation.

Re: Bears sign RB Mike Davis to 2yr, $6M deal
Rotoworld intimated that he could replace Howard. "The former fifth-round pick of the 49ers finally found a home and a role last season as the Seahawks' third-down back behind bruiser Chris Carson. With Rashaad Penny slated for a bigger role in Seattle, Davis moves on to Chicago to team with Ta...

Re: Speculation: Bears asking after WR John Ross
If I remember correctly from Rotoworld, he's tearing it up in the AAF and that is what is getting him new looks for the NFL.Otis Day wrote:21 receptions in 2 years for 210 yds and 7 TDS. Nothing really screams to me, "GOTTA HAVE." 1 of 3 receptions for TDs, sure, but Gabriel and Cohen are this guy.

I knew Robinson missed the Vikes week 17 game with "ribs", but I didn't know he had [url=https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2019/02/12/allen-robinson-was-battling-broken-ribs-during-his-biggest-game-of-season/]multiple broken ribs.[url] I saw this from another source recently that I didn't fe...

What year are you considering the beginning of the modern football era? I'm mostly only asking for perspective on your comment.wab wrote:I'd wager that this is the best three year stretch of drafts the Bears have had in their modern NFL history.

Re: Crunching The Numbers-Cap Space
Daniel isn't getting cut. Neither is Kawasaki. I hope you are right on Daniel - he's worth his 6M in my opinion. He's still a mentor for Mitch and he went 1-1 as the starter. He didn't play a good game against the Giants, but hell, it was still nearly enough to win the game (which is much more than...

Re: Bears @ Raiders to be played in London
Yea for UK fans! And technically, I like it because it's a non-home game for one of our away game opponents, if that makes any sense. Nevermind that the Raiders will probably stink in 2019. This was my initial reaction as well. There's a good chance the Bears have a larger international following t...

Re: Kyle Long..Restructure, Keep or Release
I voted to keep him.
I'd like to see the Bears approach him about restructuring first, but if they can't work something out I think he's still worth keeping. As another poster mentioned, we may be losing Bobby Massie at RT and I don't want an entirely new right side of the line.

Re: Bears hire Chuck Pagano to be Defensive Coordinator
Well I got too much going on to dig into this too much, but Chuck took over the Raven's Superbowl defense that was compared to the Bears '85 team for greatness. While it was still very good the following year, there were some areas that the team slipped. One was turnover margin. Bal went from 1st o...
