Re: Who is your best Bear ever, and who is your best football player ever?

The Bears can justifiably say they had the best MLB ever but I'd say Walter was the best Bear. We all know what he could do, no more needs to be said. Best NFL player ever? Very tough. I'm going Johnny U. He was truly something else as a QB, kind of a new breed. Smart. Tough. Set passing records, in...

Re: Packers had a bad night

Looks like a high ankle sprain at best, 6 to 8 weeks to heal. However, an MRI today will reveal if their is a ligament sprain or tear in the knee, which could be season ending. I never root for a player to get hurt. But it would be karma (Charles Martin) for the Pack's season to be derailed by a QB ...

Look at the play of Jenkins vs. Davis to see the impact of a good guard. But it would be foolhardy to extend Jenkins at $20M with his injury history.

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

It would be a miracle for Chicago (big budget deficits) and the state to fork over monies toward a stadium. Still have not read anything about what the Bears would ask AH to kick in. Been to pro games in Seattle, the Meadowlands as well as Chicago. Seattle is very eady to get to via bus and especial...

Good thing the cap keeps going up every year.Top QBs getting mid-$50s, WRs and DL pushing $30, OTs mid-to high 20s.

NFL teams out in force at UGA-Clemson game … With the NFL on hiatus this weekend, there was a big turnout of NFL personnel people at yesterday’s big game between Georgia and Clemson in Atlanta. Indeed, 24 teams had reps on hand including 4 with GMs in town. They included Brandon Beane of Buffalo, C...

Great clip, Yogi. It was a really fun game, much better than the HOF game. I think it got stopped when 1st rounders started getting such big contracts and teams were afraid of injury. Plus they didn't like guys missing so much of their training camp.

Re: FBR: Fields struggling in shorts

I see Fields is due a bit more than $3M for 2025 from Pitt. I would think regardless of his performance this year they keep him on. Short of Wilson winning the SB (or having a season for the ages), he'll be gone as they're not going to want to invest significant bucks in him. So Fields could be the ...

The winds of hope are blowing like when Jim Finks ran the show. Of course, that was 40+ years ago so it's really time for the Bears to get it together.

I'm beginning to see why I never saw the show before the Bears were on it. Content is getting scarce. I feel for guys putting it all on the line to be longshots and make the team I don't watch reality shows for a reason. I'll see the last episodes and hopefully the Bears aren't on the show again, fo...

Jacksonville released Jamal Agnew, an experienced punt returner.

Supposedly Stromberg was shunted between G and C and never got the time he needed at the latter. Might be worth a look.

Shelton is on a one year deal. It will be time to draft a guy for long term.

Re: Let's be real this year fellas!

Psychologically I'm with Ark, with that obnoxious Dolphins team finally being laid to rest. Caleb passing for 4250 yards (250 per game). The D giving up points quite reluctantly. Actually, I'm with Plank. A 3 game increase in wins in the NFL is a tremendous improvement. I'm holding out for them maki...

The Bears show they've actually become a modern NFL offense with over 300 yards passing and at least 27 points scored. Meanwhile the D is going to yield points more reluctantly than a miser giving up his coins:

Bears: 27
Titans: 3

6'2", 302 pounds. This is the pick from Miami. I'm a bit surprised, cuts are coming Tuesday and other guys should become available. Once such might be Ray Robertson-Harris, former Bear, who doesn't fit the Jags new D.

The center taken in the 2nd round out of Oklahoma has signed a 4 year $72 million deal with $50M guaranteed. Yes, it's enjoyable to see an undefeated exhibition season but teams are just looking for knock the rust off starters and see if some lower level guys elevate themselves. Victories aren't the goal.

The more he plays, the better looks. Yes, it is preseason but he's shown much growth from last season. Someone (Giants?) is going to kick the tires on a trade after their QB flames out this season.

Re: Bears trade 2025 6th rd pick to Seattle for EDGE Darrell Taylor

Funny, read this a.m. he probably wasn't going to make Seattle's 53 man roster. Good move by Poles for a draft pick with low odds of making the team and quite affordable salary 21-1/2 sacks in 3 seasons, not a bad average considering his snaps decreased each year in Seattle. He'll be the situation p...

The Bears might have switched their focus back to improving the interior DL to get more rush from them. No premium studs available but some solid guys might become available with rosters being cut down to 53.

A question on this week's Pardon My Take was if Caleb could press a button and kill one Bears fan but the team would win 10 Super Bowls, would he do so. Anyone here volunteer to be that fan or have someone else you'd volunteer?
