Re: 30 Visits

Not seeing Brian Thomas Jr. or Adonai Mitchell on the list in the event we trade down is troubling to me. Both guys offer the size, speed, and big play ability that would compliment Allen and Moore. Xavier Worthy should not be on this list, imo. He is a combine darling who doesn't have the size or h...

DJ Moore's Comment

Do you think DJ Moore has come to peace with the comment he made about JF being better? I'm pretty sure he is going to find out very shortly that he was dead wrong. Having 2 WR's with 1,000 yards plus will be very nice. Love DJ but I think he's going to be very wrong.

Re: What would it take for you to move from the 1.1 pick

This present is wrapped and ready for a draft day delivery. There is no way in hell the Bears aren't taking CW, no matter what offers are made now. I think I'm very ok with it too.

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

The big question for C Dub is can he break the Eric Kramer Bears record of 3838 yards and 29 TD's in his first year or will he have to destroy it his second year?

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

Watching more and more film of CW lately and I don't see Mahomes, I see a more football smart Dak Prescott, with a hint of Aaron Rodgers pocket movement and creativity. Mahomes is just on another level with his creativity and escapability. I don't see CW having that in film.

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

After FA and the commitment to CW at 1, pick 9 is a bit more flexible in my mind. If Turner is there, you have to take him. I think he is a double digit sack guy in the nfl, especially next to Sweat. If he's gone and Odunze is there, you take him. He fits perfectly into a need for CW. If those two a...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

It's taken me a while but I am on board. I think this kid has a chance to win this city much in the way Jim McMahon did back in the day. This kid seems confident and ready from the get go to grab this job and make history for our organization. I didn't see that before, just saw an arrogant and selfi...

Boy, I love this guy already! Everything he has said and done so far has screamed success and professionalism. For him to show up at CDubs pro day was just pure class. I think we are really going to like this dude.

Re: Justin Fields traded to Pittsburgh for conditional pick

My gut reaction when it happened and my reaction now are the same....WHY? This was a stupid football move regardless of how you look at it. I know we are taking CW but why are we in such a hurry to dump an asset that may bring a better load to the team? He was never going to be worth less than we go...

Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft

Here's my Hoog Draft after FA period has settled: 1 (1)- Caleb Williams, QB, USC- I am settled in at this pick now and comfortable with it now. I trust Ryan and Flus have done their homework. 1(9)- Dallas Turner, DE, Bama- I looked at a trade down but just can't pass on this kid. If he's there, whic...

Re: Justin Fields Megathread - A story of Lovers and Haters

So here's the main reason you keep him...Bageant and Rypian. We really want those two if CW goes down? JF is only making what? $6m this year? Thats high back up money. Hold him now unless you get a 2bd somewhere along the way.

Re: Justin Fields Megathread - A story of Lovers and Haters

As the dust has settled, I see it coming to 2 options. A trade to Philly for Josh Sweat or keeping Fields to pair with CW until a QB1 goes down on another team. Pretty much our options at this point. Don't see any others out there. Why give him away?

Re: Bears trade 4th rd pick to Chargers for WR Keenan Allen

So, looking to an extension. Allen is in a group of the likes of Adam Thielen, Mike Evabs, and Devante Adams. All are 30 or older. Thielen is the oldest but probably the vest comp, imo. He is only making around $6m now a days but in his 32-33 ages he made $16m. Evans, who is more dynamic than Allen ...

Screw free agency! Now that the Keenan Allen deal is done, lets do the Fields for Josh Sweat deal and then decide on who we take at #9.

Re: Bears trade 4th rd pick to Chargers for WR Keenan Allen

This is a great move especially if they can extend him a year or two. He's not his young self but dude catches EVERYTHING, which will help a young QB. Love the move, fuck a 4th round pick, get the QB the best weapons. 1200 yards and he only played in 13 games. Give me 15 and lets go! This also impro...

Re: 2024 NFL Free Agency chatter, there will be punch and pie

Ok, first, let me apologize for my negativity. I have been pretty vocal about not liking a single signing made, with the exception of Everrett. I don't like the vibe I am projecting, so, I regroup this morning and looked more clearly at whats out there. It's actually not bad and with a few moves fro...

This is just an eye roll move, he has no value, none, none at all on the field. Just give the dude the hat and headphones and have him follow CW around after April. He will NEVER set foot on Soldier Field during the regular season. Asst QB coach should already be his title.

Re: 2024 NFL Free Agency chatter, there will be punch and pie

Williams would be nice, Bosa would be better, but both are significant injury risks. Williams on a $10M with incentives would work for me. As for Bosa, they just redid Macks contract so he looks to be the one leaving unless he redoes his contract.

Short of that, then sign two of the following: DJ Wonnum Mike Danna Darrell Taylor Carl Lawson (if injury report checks out) 2. Sign one of these DT's to.pair with the young guys: Arik Armstead Shel...

It kind of goes to show what other teams think of Fields, eech. Also, got a RB that I didn't care for on a rival team who took our running back to replace him, at less cost. Not a good day for me.
