Re: Bears sign TE Jimmy Graham to 2yr, $16M deal

Glennon didn't play well in Tampa, but Pace gave him 3 yrs 45 million...18.5M guaranteed was eaten for a dismal 4 games in the lineup. No word on which team offered him nearly this much, not to mention they took a bath on production. Some rationalizing Bears' fans even resorted to the Glennon Smokes...

Re: Bears sign TE Jimmy Graham to 2yr, $16M deal

I never believed there was a comparable market for Glennon or Burton...or Graham. Anyone have any evidence there were comparable offers to any of these guys?

Re: Pandemic (non political) Thanks

Oh, you'll settle down. Happens to us all after our prime...I'm well after :?

Worked graveyards too for almost 30 years. They say it shortens life expectancy. But I believe it greatly prolonged mine. :)

I have only 3 kids and a crazy wife, so maybe that helped too. ;)

Re: FA Activity/Rumor Thread

Bad is bad - The Brissett contract, Funches, and the Desir extension - along were the absolutely perplexing Hoyer deal - Not a great offseason for the Colts there (The Houston deal looks good though - but he's a FA next offseason) Interesting team to monitor - I think with the bad Brissett and Hoye...

I ought to listen, maybe even heed you more often, since you even know unnamed sources along with boneheaded moves.

I've had you all wrong.

My apologies.

Played corner for most of his college career before switching to S as a Senior. So maybe he can cover. I prefer coverage safeties when the front 7 is good.

Re: Pandemic (non political) Thanks

36, I work night shift 10p to 6a, chew, eat dorritos, been exposed to wide arraignment of chemicals, have 4 kids and a crazy wife. I also deadlift 500 run 2 miles in 15 min and work out fairly regularly to the point of nausea. It's a yin and yang man everything's killing me, a diet dew a day isn't ...

Re: FA Activity/Rumor Thread

then again, it doesn't help when Funchess broke his collarbone in week 1 and was IRd for the rest of the season. Hard to know about his hands after handling Newton's rockets--not the most catchable passer out there. Luck would have been good for him, but he retired. He's not the type of WR they need...

Re: Deon Bush re-signs w/ Bears, 1 year contract

It's been other games too. I've watched him. Not an instinctive player. He gets by with recovery speed and decent toughness. Like I said, I'm not going to make a big deal about bringing back a role player at a shallow position that also plays STs decently. I would have preferred bringing in someone ...

I stand corrected... none of my business, but I would avoid aspartame (etc) ...even caffeinD Diet Mountain Dew may well be the riskiest diet soda because it has the greatest number of questionable additives. Not only does it contain aspartame, ace-K, and sucralose, but it also has more caffeine than...

Best QB I've seen in 50 years watching.

Of course, he had to come after Favre also dominated the Bears. A Bears fans' life is cruel.

Always pull against them, but love watching him play. It's akin to watching Jordan or Federer or Clemente.

Kwit's roughly the same player, but was used better by Pagano.

In general, though, I prefer ridding players that underperform after 3+ years even if it means occasionally being wrong.

I was referring to his maladapt, clueless play BEFORE the neck injury. But maybe you didn't watch him play?

As for it being "career ending"?

He went on to play short stints with 2 other teams before "washing out" to use your phrase.
