Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread
Sacrilege! Our American brethren won't recognise the song but it seemed appropriate for the circumstances (with a few tweaks). At least in the NFL an unbeaten team can't get eliminated from the competition! It is the first football single I ever remember, so I have a great deal of nostalgia f...

We're on our way We are Pole's fifty-three Hear the roar Of the orange, white and navy This time, more than any other time, this time We're going to find a way Find a way to get away This time, getting it all together To win it all It's what we'll set out to do We have a dream We know you're sharin...

In other news, that cutout for the skyline looks divine. Maybe there was a connection after all.
Can you imagine how awesome that's going to look during night games?

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository
Just an aside, I will delete my post if I open a can of worms, but I'm still not over that they opened this thing with a prayer. It feels really, really tonedeaf to ask God to bless the Bears and Chicago with the olympics and super bowls. I get that jobs will be created and all that, but this entir...

I vaguely remember a TE with the Houston Oilers wearing 00? Before my time I think but I can kinda see it in my head for some reason. You are correct, dplank .... minor correction it was a WR not TE. The great, late Kenny Burroughs! https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_editorial_landscape_1...

Re: What would it take for you to move from the 1.1 pick
I wonder if any Colts message boards had a similar thread the year that Payton Manning was coming out of college. When Manning was coming out, there was a real debate over they should take Ryan Leaf instead. So yeah, there was. Not the same debate though, is it? Now we're discussing trading out of ...

Re: Who will wear #13 for the Bears in 2024?
With the wisdom of Solomon I pronounce that Williams shall get 1, Allen shall get 3. I don't think they'll unretire 3. If Caleb picks #1, sonebody better sell name plate add-ons so we can upcycle our Fields jerseys lol Snap, I forgot about Nagurski. Maybe Allen can have 8 and just colour half of it...

Re: Justin Fields traded to Pittsburgh for conditional pick
I think Mayes and CW both would have been drafted before Young and Stroud last year. (granted beauty is in the eye of the beholder so maybe not, but I think both are better prospects). So delaying the change at QB gives us a better prospect. This is something new for the Bears. If you look at when ...

It's always kind of fascinating to me when people have carte blanche to just choose their fandom, as opposed to being assigned it as a child. I hear that. I was assigned Sheffield United pretty much from birth - the stadium is a five minute walk down the road and nobody in the family supported the ...

After finally getting to watch the game (sodding NFL Game Pass blackout :frustrated:) what I saw was Jordan Love playing in a slick NFL offense with excellent protection and wide open receivers and Justin Fields basically playing backyard football because his offensive line couldn't block and his r...

It's only one game, but I've just watched the National Championship and I really don't like the way that Penix throws. Half the time he's doing this weird whipping motion; the ball gets out quickly but it doesn't seem to do so with any accuracy. Not for me.

Re: WK 18 // Bears (7-9) @ Packers (8-8)
Probably the best sci-if/fantasy thing I’ve watched in the last couple of years is Netflix’s Dark. You have to deal with dubbing, it’s a German series. 3 seasons. There is so much depth to it, and it is so well executed, I had to fully watch it twice to really grok it, and even printed out a Family...

Mike Tomlin is an amazing coach. I wish the rumors that pop up each year about him being fired would be true. I'd love to have him coach the Bears. Great person too FWIW. Back when I used to go to the combine every year we had a small, invite only vendor area outside of where the video coordinators...
