Re: Jer’zhan Newton
Rams could use a few pieces on the defense side of the ball. If a trade down for Verse is a consideration, not sure you want to go past the Rams.

Re: Different trade scenario
I'd love a scenario to move back from 9 about 5 or 6 spots, get a R2 in the 40s, for example: Raiders pick at 13 and their R2 at 44. I would, too, but that requires some luck. By (original) trade chart 9 to 13 is only worth their R3. You'd have to go back 10 spots for it to be worth 44 Standard dis...

I always like to spot the unusual names in the Beast by Dane. One of my all time favorites was Wesly Mallard of the Oregon Ducks. This year, it has to be either Storm Duck of Louisville or Level Price of Montana State or Andrew Bloodsaw of Clark Atlanta. And we can only wait until next year when Ge...

Then I go Jared Verse and Ricky Pearsall, or one of the Texas WRs (who I don't expect to be there at 44).

Well, off-season program starts today ... so unless Keenan is wearing a blank jersey, we'll have our answer very soon. I dont think he will be in a jersey til after the draft. HRS's post in the other thread says the first phase is meetings and strength and conditioning/rehab for 2 weeks. I dont thi...

Re: Different trade scenario
If you truly have the opportunity to draft a Defensive Game Wrecker at 9 at WR - you take him. If Poles Plan works - you won't be drafting anywhere near 9 again for a really long time, so to get that shot for a true blue chip player - now is your shot. My only concern is I'm not too sure Odunze is &...

I know the writer is evaluating rookies based on their college performances and projecting that talent to the pros. But it's like comparing apples to oranges, not valid comparing pros to undrafted rookies. More like comparing apples to howler monkeys. There just isn't a logical way to do this exerc...

Re: Bears working out OT Fuaga
I'd bet a hefty sum that Guyton goes on Day 1. Barton is a maybe, as his arm length probably pushes him inside, but his athletic testing would suggest he's got loads of promise there. I'm guessing Barton ends up at C for whoever drafts him, and he goes on to have a Pro-Bowl level career. As a C pro...

Re: Odunze or Nabers?
Steve Smith, the perennial All Pro and future HOFer, evaluated the top 3 WRs. He says Odunze is talented but didn't have to fight for the ball and win outside overly much playing against weak Pac 12 defenses. He does say this is a skill which can be learned. Haven't read anything from him regarding...

Johnny Knox wore 13 and he was a good player until that horrible injury.
But yeah, tough to see 13 on the Motion from Goshen - what a bad day that was when we traded for him.

The shame in all of this is that it keeps shovels from going into the ground. It will be another year until there is a "deal" in place regardless of the site - and probably 18+ months until they start the build. Meaning you are looking at 2028 .... at the earliest.

Yes and No .... either way, you need rotational bodies at 3T with Justin Jones going to the Cardinals. While I don't think 3T is the right move in round 1, later names we should consider are My Guy FSU's Braden Fiske, Clemson's Ruke Orhorhoro, Ohio State's Michael Hall Jr, and LSU's Tooka Smith (fi...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
Let’s take 40s out of it..Some guys play faster than their 40 would indicate, like Keon Coleman this year. On tape, he plays much faster than a 4.6 guy. I see the opposite with Rome, he doesn’t play like a 4.4 guy IMO. My top 2 WRs last year were Zay Flowers and Jordan Addison. Loved em both and wa...

Flus had DeForest Buckner as his 3 tech at Indy. At 6'6"/312lbs Dexter is much closer to the size of Buckner 6'7"/295lbs than any of the top DT in this draft. And then we have Pickens as well. They say the biggest jump in performance tends to come in season two so it may be wise to see wh...

Rome is interesting - but I’m not convinced he’s a better pick at 9 vs AD Mitchell at ~ 20 + a second round pick. Also, I think Xavier Worthy brings something unique to the offense. This guy is not John Ross - he’s a really good football player. And of course, my heart-throb Ricky Pearsall in the se...

Cole Bishop S Utah Love Cole Bishop - not sure why he is down as far as he is on Draft Boards. I love DBs who come out of the Utah system - extremely fundamentally sound. Great size (6-2/208) with recovery speed (4.45) for a 9.88 RAS. Why this guy isn't considered a Top 3 FS in this draft, I don't ...
