if wab doesnt like the caleb thread turning into a cade thread, how's he gonna handle this thread turning into a john thierry thread? Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa
I think I read something like Taylor's punting resulted in the opposition requiring 3 more first downs per game (as opposed to touchbacks, etc). For a bend-but-don't-break defense like ours, that is GOLD. Any opportunity where we can pin someone inside the 10 yard line, I fucking want it. I watched...

Meatball Predictions: 1. Bears sweep the North for 6 wins! 2. Bears have 3 players with 1,000 yards receiving 3. Bears have a top 5 defense after they sign Calais Campbell and a surprise June cut DE 4. Bears go to NFC championship game but lose to the Eagles I was following you until #4, don't know...

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa
There are positions you can get damn good player in the 4th round, starter level or better. IOL, RB, TE and for you @dplank safety or linebacker all can be had in the 4th and can develop into players. I don’t think it was a deep draft and the talent got thin at that point. I think the chances of To...

Re: Post Draft Meatball Overreaction - Three Things
That's right! It's time for the Post NFL Draft Meatball Fan Overreaction thread. Many NFL pundits gave the Bears an A on their draft this year, and how could they not. Ryan Poles knocked it out of the park. If we count Keenan Allen as part of the draft class, then it truly was franchise altering. W...

Skill players: Potential league-best WR trio of Keenan Allen, D.J. Moore and Rome Odunze, together with pass-catching RB D'Andre Swift and TE Cole Kmet make up an elite group. | Grade: 5/6. Who got the 6/6 JJ I assume? Jefferson is better than DJ but other than that, I give us the edge at WR 2 and ...

At 6'1" and around 205 lbs, Ed Sprinkle played DE for the Bears, went to the Hall of Fame, and was largely considered the meanest pass rusher of his era. He passed away a few years ago at 90 . He even played TE as well. He was known as "The Claw" for his clothesline tackling. Anyway,...

https://x.com/SarahSpain/status/1783957396383023481 I love this kid  With DJ and Allen let’s just go with him getting 700 yards this year. If he averages 1100 yards per year for the remaining 4 years we are assured we have him (using the 5th year option) he breaks the all time yardage record ...

Re: R5 P144: Austin Booker, Edge - Kansas
This year I think we should be hoping he fill a Mark Anderson type role. Situational rusher who is told “see QB, hit QB.” Walker gets the bulk of snaps opposite Sweat and moves inside on passing downs and he goes to DE. Then as others have said with a year of NFL training/nutrition he can play next ...

Re: The 2024 Draft
Everybody gets excessively hopeful about late round picks for some reason. I think the people here making Maxx Crosby comparisons should be a tad embarrassed. It really comes down to me not seeing a need to trade up. So we traded a fourth round pick for this guy? Didn't we just get Keenan Allen for...

Um, Dan Marino went to the Super Bowl as a rookie. He just never won it. Not ever. lol That was his second year (first full season as a starter) After starting the season as a backup to incumbent starter David Woodley, Marino was given his first NFL start in Week 6 versus the Buffalo Bills. Marino ...

Videos of players getting "the call"
It so cool seeing these guys' reactions when they get the call telling them they are about to be drafted. But just one I'd like to see it go down like this: "Hey, man this is Brian Gutekunst, GM of the Green Bay Packers, are you ready to be a Packer?" Player, "no man, the team picking...

I agree and if that had happened when Poles got here, I wouldn't have blinked an eye. But he's gone through 3 drafts with these guys and gotten pretty amazing results.

Re: 2024 Draft: Is This Our Greatest Draft Ever?
Given the limited number of picks, when we look back at this class, it might not beat the '83 class. If Williams accomplishes his goal of passing Brady on Super Bowl wins, it will do that. The only other draft class I was close to being this excited about after the draft was the 2000 class. i was al...

What an egomaniacs CW must be. He’s already texted megadose, likely so CW could hear his name during the presser. Any concerns I had about CW blending are going further and further away.
