I couldn't be more excited than I am about Ben Johnson. He is EXACTLY what we needed on multiple levels. I called it more than a year ago that the players did not respect Eberflus, that he was a dufus and lacked credibility in the locker room. And as a "tactician" he played the game from a ...

Cautiously optimistic is where I am in reality, but if I have to make predictions, I'd day 3 guys on the DL get 10+ sacks and 2 more get 7-9.

Re: 2025 NFL Rule Changes

Is it a penalty under the current rules if you declare you're doing an onside kick and then kick it deep? I think it would be. The worst part about the new kickoff format is that element of surprise is completely removed.

Correct. That's why the one by the Saints in the Super Bowl was able to ...

Re: 2025 NFL Rule Changes

FTP.

Regarding the onside kick thing - I can't figure out why the rule only allows an onside kick when trailing. Few teams would do it while ahead if they didn't have the element of surprise on their side, anyway, but there are situations where it can be useful. For example, if time is running ...

That's bad. Had something similar in court the other day. Kid (13) was getting discharged from acute care and mom said can't come home. He killed 2 family bets and was waiving a knife at his siblings 10 days before he went in.

The fact that he was able to put up three straight 100 plus yard seasons with Kyle Allen, Teddy Bridgewater, and Sam Darnold is incredible.

The Bears will be hoping for more than just 100 plus yard seasons for the $27.5m a year they're paying him! ;)

He was bad last year (84% of FG made) and his range has always been an issue. He's fine IMO, but his limited range coupled with his performance makes him a guy who can be replaced. I acknowledge we moved on from Gould after a down year and it was not a good move.

To be clear, my word choice ...
