Let’s just say, for arguments sake, BPA for our R1 pick in 2026 is a QB does that mean we should use our R1 pick on him even though we have Caleb?

BPA doesn’t make sense for me for this reason.

I tried working a draft without the trades and the board really didn't fall good for us (although I could have gotten Landon Jackson at 72 since that's where he was taken by Buffalo). So here's what I came up with (I at first passed on Ollie Gordon and took Miles Frazier OG from LSU but then ...

They can't retire any more numbers; they've reached their limit. Ditka's #89 was the last of the 14.

What I expect they will do is incorporate a "ring of honour" into the new stadium where Mongo will get his due recognition along with his fellow Bear Hall of Famers and a good few more.

I've ...

I think they will make a run an Chubb or Dobbins. Given where we are, I don't think they are going to cost that much. Base deal of $1.5M with some bonuses based on production/playing time that wont' count until next years cap.

@Arkansasbear It sounds a bit like Solomon’s decision.

TBH - I think it's RB and WR in R2. Hopefully they come away with Henderson. I don't really want Kaleb Johnson...not sure he loves football enough.

It's entirely possible that this draft is going to be all offense.

FWIW - I absolutely love the kid, I think he's a DUDE. I just hate the value.

He's only what, the 5th TE to go top 10 in the last 25 years? If you are taking a TE in the top 10 he has to be generational IMO.

If he's Sam LaPorta, do you like him at ...

I get Loveland over Warren - he's simply more what Johnson wants from a TE. And he is a very good player.

Here's the drawbacks:

If you take a TE at 10, they'd better be an All-Pro superstar. That's a high bar and I'm not confident about it, in part because
He didn't test, so we don't know ...

Ersery is likely the best LT left and not sold on him.

I think I'd like to walk away with Henderson and Jackson and I think I'd be okay with Schwesinger.

Re: R1 P10: Coleston Loveland, TE - Michigan

Not cherry picking anything, the consensus board had Warren at 8 and Loveland at 15. Just saying that a lot of them had Loveland actually ranked higher. Do I like taking him at 10? No! But I understand the logic as the Bears needed another TE threat and Loveland looks to have better route ...
