Re: Whitehair starting C for 2023 Bears?

From what I have heard, Davic is at LG , Whitehair moves to C, Jenkins says at RG. Patrick is backup C , J Carter is swing G with Borum as swing T going into the draft.

Trading to 7 (LV) or 16 (Wash) is awfully different. I don't see how your ask can be the same rounds for picks, either way. Which is why this post is so funny! Did their source hear this rumor from a Carolina guy? A Washington guy? A Las Vegas guy? A Jets guy? Extrapolating that this is their ASKIN...

Re: PFF predicts Bears sign 3 major FAs

Read that. Throw in a tough-ass center also. I know this will go over like a fart in church, but I think this front office still REALLY LIKES Lucas Patrick ... they may draft someone to groom behind him, but from what I've heard they see him as the starting C in '23. The more I think on it ,I agree...

He used it all over. The only one who even debatably elevated their game meaningfully would be Morrow (and I would say not by much). I'd add Lucas Patrick and Al-Quadin Muhammad to the list of failed Upside Free Agents. Although neither broke the bank. But Patrick's cap hit next year is 5.4M. Pente...

Re: If Jones starts at LT . . .

I agree with most of that Ark. I do think you might be under-appreciating how much they like Kramer, and how much potential both Thomas and Carter have. I'd be willing to bet they don't risk any of the 4 OL picks to waivers, and that all 11 picks make the 53. On Robinson I think it is a bit more ex...

One thing I like about Getsy is he is very specific in public about what he likes from what he's seen from JF1 and what he think needs work. I think we can at least be comfortable that IF it doesn't work out with JF1 it won't be because somebody didn't coach him properly or misused him. Personally ...

Well, this is interesting. I have never been a Reiff fan, but admittedly that comes from seeing him suck for the Vikings and maybe he's a better player now. I will have to admit that I was wrong to freak out so hard on the OL situation and many folks said that this is exactly what Poles would do - ...

Re: My full take on Poles job performance

Nice Post DP and I agree with alot of it. Should of overpaid for Bates and shored up the inside oline. As for the draft, I think Pole did great especially with no R1. Imo because of covid in 2020 this draft was as talent rich as the 83 draft. And 83 is the deepest one talentwise I can remember. I se...

Feels like not a lot of confidence in what they have. I mean, I think Harry is a complete joke. Personally I don't like the move. But taking a flyer with a 7th rounder on a former #1 pick, to compete with 3+ other guys for what is almost certainly the 6th or even 7th WR spot is, to you, a statement...

Re: How the Bears’ offensive line play could look under coach Chris Morgan

Pretty simple--Daniels had a very average 2021, often times displaying sub-par effort. Poles wasn't going to sink a lot of money into a guy like that--a guy who, essentially, goes against Flus' core philosophies. I would have kept Daniels, and hoped for a rebound...but Poles deciding otherwise is h...

Re: Chicago Bears crafted least expensive offense in the NFL for upcoming season

The "killed QB" narrative is absurd, and I'll just let anyone who wants to wallow in that nonsense continue to enjoy their own misery. Well put IE. Many QBs have been hit alot in their early years. They make it through. The way to not get your QB hit alot is : 1Run the ball well. Move the...

They were pretty bad Ark, 22nd out of 32 is poor. And, they were worse after those injuries than before. So if comparing the Mack/Hicks-less version, it’d be even a bit lower than 22nd. I expect improvement as well but worry teams are gonna run on us. DP cmon brew, who didn't run on us last year? L...

Quinn is 32. He is trying to cash in one last time. Pass rushers are always in demand. If he gets traded he wants to cash in. "Cash in" in what way? He's already under contract through 2024 and if traded he remains under that contract unless he can get his new team to renegotiate it. It w...

Flues is saying he is evaluating both set ups of OTs. If you dont think he wants to do it in pads you are kidding yourself. IMO who starts the first week in camp is unimportant. It was probably the Bears players who went to the Players Union and complained about the hitting. As one put it, if they want us to hit, fine, just let us put on pads so we don't get injured. Teams feasted on our secondary last season so he fixed that first even getting the two guy...

IMO Poles would have traded down or drafted the highest player still on his board. I think Poles was going BPA in the early part of the draft period. The draft opened to defense when the first round had so many WRs taken.

IMO the way Poles would trade him would be inseason late to a team chasing a ring, similar to Von Miller trade last year. I believe he didn't persue it during the draft was the dead money involved. But now that June 1 is nearly here and the dead money drops to around 2 Mil , who knows? Maybe Poles p...
