Seems like a stretch based on the zero amount of information we all have, but ok.

Kindle Vildor is an anagram for "Old evil drink".

But besides that, Im pretty sure he fought Mad Mardigan at the end of Willow.

Re: Bears officially submit bid for Arlington

I'm probably in the minority here, but I really like the current Soldier Field, size, location, atmosphere... it's unique and although I'm not a season ticket holder, I think Ive attended enough games to be able to have formed an opinion. But, considering that NY and LA have two teams each, that mak...

I voted Kmet but thinking on it a little more, that's just me being hopeful he pans out.
Arob is most likely the guy.

Re: Poll: Who do you THINK starts Week 1, Who do you WANT to start Week 1

I’m not reading this whole thread and can’t remember if I posted in it previously, but in looking at Fields, this isn’t a “developmental prospect”. He can play and the only reason not to play him is because of some stupid promise made to Dalton. No way in hell Dalton outperforms Fields in camp or an...

Re: Excited Delirium Over Fields

I did not consider Fields much of a possibility so didn’t spend much time watching him in college, really. I did watch the Natl. Championship game vs. Bama and he carried that team as far as it would go. It was pretty impressive even though they couldn’t ultimately keep up. His highlights, I see gre...

Outrage Thread: April Edition

Can you really be upset at Pace for not drafting Watson right now though? I'm not trying to re-write history here, but Im rather thankful that he's not our QB. Remember he claims that Pace never even really interviewed him. You have to wonder if there were rumblings about his character that played ...

Outrage Thread: April Edition

@BreadNCircuses I don't think most people fault Pace for not drafting Mahomes because nobody knew what he would become. It's not drafting Watson who was/is the obviously superior talent. Can you really be upset at Pace for not drafting Watson right now though? I'm not trying to re-write history her...

Re: Outrage Thread: March Edition

"It was widely understood..." "People are saying..." Look, Pace obviously blew the Trubisky pick, there's no way around it. The team needed a baptism after the albatross that was Cutler (who I liked but nevertheless) and we had the #3 pick. All the elements came together for the ...

Hey look, that sort of explains half of one of the two seasons I referenced, for one of the players. So I guess if that's good enough for you, it's your post. These are players that are pretty clearly heading in opposite directions, which should be evident to anyone who... watches any football. But...

I like how we excluded the two most recent seasons from these guys to help make the comparison the most valid possible. You mean the season where one was a 16 game starter and one was a backup that played in half the games? Comparing them as starters IS valid. Hey look, that sort of explains half o...

Re: Full Homerism is setting in

I'm seeing a very mediocre squad heading into 2021. I predict 6-10. The defense is a year older and lost its best DB. Pagano's gone, but there no evidence the new guy will be an upgrade. I hope he is, but I wouldn't bet on it. On offense, we're pretty mediocre across the board. Mediocre QB, Mediocre...

Re: Outrage Thread: March Edition

Maybe there was more to the Watson evaluation (or lack of interest) than his play on the field. I mean, they apparently never even interviewed him and you'd have to wonder why. Now you look what he's tangled up in... maybe the Bears have some top notch investigators. Glad Im not a fan of the Texans....

Fuller.
More consistent player, younger, less prone to injury.
With Goldman coming back, I still think the DL can be pretty good without Hicks.
Without Fuller, were one Johnson shoulder ding from Kindle Vildor facing Davante Adams.

Re: Derek Carr/Marcus Mariota?

I really just don't understand how anyone could rationally want Mariota here after just watching Mitch. They're the same guy. Mariota languished for years in TN, while blessed with a fantastic OL and the best RB in the game. The moment he was replaced by Tannehill they became an instant contender. T...

Re: Outrage Thread: March Edition

Someone hinted at this earlier, but the elephant in the room is ownership's lack of interest in winning football games. They don't seem to be against the idea, exactly, but it's not how they measure success. The money still flows in, last I checked they'd cut/bought Mugs Halas's kids out of the own...

Re: Outrage Thread: March Edition

This. Word for word. We had a team that went 8-8 last year despite poor QB play and a weak defensive scheme. All Pace had to do was acquire a legit QB (it didn't need to be Watson or Wilson) and hire a credible DC. Instead the safeties coach gets promoted and he signs Andy Dalton. This team was ELE...

Re: Outrage Thread: March Edition

I just don't think a full on tank is a realistic option for a coach/gm. Teams that go 3-13 clean house. I think Pace has some wiggle room to have a down year (just a hunch) but I think a dead list finish and disappointed fan-base puts pressure on ownership that he may well likely not survive. I thin...

Re: Outrage Thread: March Edition

You know, ultimately, Kitna... I mean Dalton, is a more credible starter than Foles. I understand the playoff magic that happened that one time, but one guy has led a team for a decade another guy has been a career backup. It's probably an upgrade. And Foles was just so bad last year, he made Trubis...
