I’m backing out of a few of these discussions for a while as I’ve had my say and I’m bringing myself and everyone else on the board down.
I’m pissed off about a few things, not just Bears stuff, so I’ll back off a bit.
Sorry for my self-indulgent morose.

Re: You are Kevin Warren: Do you Fire Ryan Poles?
Where was the context and nuance when Ryan Poles confidently stated “we’re going to take back the North and we’re not giving it back”? In sports you live and die by how you perform against expectations. He shouldn’t proclaim such things if he’s going to do the exact opposite. Before Poles, the last...

To be perfectly pedantic - he didn't say when we would take it, only that when we eventually did we wouldn't give it back.

Re: Ryan Poles question
I mean I don’t know what “restructuring the corporate side of the team” means.
It certainly sounds like management speak for “wasted a lot of time in meetings taking things away and looking at them for the next meeting”.
Wage versus performance is not looking good for him

Re: You are Kevin Warren: Do you Fire Ryan Poles?
My biggest concern is that Poles is being undermined by Warren and won't be allowed to make decisions for himself. Your biggest concern is that Poles IS being undermined by Warren? Or MAY be undermined by Warren? I ask because I haven't read or heard anything indicating he is being undermined. Warr...

Re: Build the Lines
It’s like I said, “zero hope” has never been put forward. Zero hope of making a significant upgrade to the O line this offseason using the draft or free agency - would be a more accurate reflection of my position. You can make a 5-10% upgrade, maybe, if you get lucky. A significant upgrade? The tale...

Re: You are Kevin Warren: Do you Fire Ryan Poles?
Still think the jury is out and as UOK said - the next coaching hire will weigh heavily.
He said he’d take back the North, we’re going to be 4th place for each of his 3 years so far and this year we are a long way short.
He's got to make some progress with that.

Re: Ryan Poles question
All we can hope for is that the McCaskeys accept that they need a Kevin Warren type to right the ship and will follow his lead. I'm not at all sold on Kevin Warren. There's something about him and the way he speaks using management clichés that doesn't sit well with me. That video they released sho...

Re: Build the Lines
I mean PFF rankings and O line just do not pass the eye test. Wasn’t Sam Mustipher rated as the number 1 pass protector for some time? I think he was. There may have been some good guards in FA last season, but there won’t be this off season. Poles has few options to significantly upgrade the O line...

Re: Build the Lines
Yea I get it. Where my opinion differs is I think the unit is more fixable than you do. I think we’ve suffered from having a very weak “weakest link” and once we address that it’ll all suddenly look better. That and some better luck on the injury front. I genuinely believe this exact OL with Trey S...

Re: Build the Lines
15M avg over 3-4 years? I’d pay that. Poles can’t allow himself to get constantly outbid for offensive lineman - market speaks and he needs to pay market price like he does at WR and CB and LB. It’s been my chief complaint about Poles since he got here. I share DDs frustration. My frustration is ba...

I just don’t see Wright or Tev as “top shelf starters”.
They wouldn’t get on Detroit or Philly’s O line.
Trey Smith will probably be tagged by KC if not re-signed.

Wow the odds must be astronomical as @wab says 99.99999% of people disagree with me. Re: Build the Lines
People get the draft wrong all the time. The year Fields came out was supposed to be a abundance of riches at QB and look how they all turned out. Is anyone but Lawrence with their original team? There's talented lineman in this draft, it's on Poles to identify them and turn them into Bears. It's t...

I want a Oline befitting of our QB.
If you want a mediocre Oline then the talent is there.

The talent is not there, we’re better off trading our picks for someone decent I preface this with the statement that I'm not trolling you. At all. But this hard stance is silly. Talent isn’t there, unless you do a crazy trade It takes two to tango DD, who is going to trade their top shelf OL to us? It's not a realistic plan IMO. If we can make something happen via trade, fantastic I'm in full support. But it's really unlikely that we're going to convince the Lions to trade...
