Re: 2024 Training Camp

Scott and Caleb seem to be developing a rapport. Here's another view of 40 yard bomb he caught: https://x.com/ChicagoBears/status/1815125665240281319 Read an interesting write-up on Jacob Martin, how he had a good year under Lovie in 2021 and Flus plays a similar defense. Re: Looking for help to rush the QB

I am intrigued by this trade idea you have and think we should pursue it. Moore, Aiyuk and Rome would be a mighty fine receiving room for Caleb to throw to in future seasons. It will pair nicely with next seasons first round WR! https://media0.giphy.com/media/3oKIPl97G9KsnxS3XG/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b9...

Where do they have the 49ers out of interest? Seeing their cap situation it looks like one more year before falling off a cliff... They have the 49ers 7th overall. Here is their Top Ten: 1. Kansas City Chiefs Overall score: 95.3 2. Baltimore Ravens Overall score: 91.6 3. Buffalo Bills Overall score...

Sharks caught off the coast of Brazil have tested positive for cocaine. It is thought that upstream drug labs are flushing their wastes into rivers and it making it to the ocean. Re: Looking for help to rush the QB

It's one thing to be weak at DE3. But when you're weak at DE2 and DE3, unless you've got a killer interior (nope), you're hurting . Yup. Big time. Hey, Brandon Aiyuk has demanded a trade! Maybe we could pick him up, and that would solve the problem! (Not any kind of dig directed at you, ...

Man, the Packers are going to place a huge bet on Love. He was really good the last 2/3 of the season and had a good playoff game, but that's his entire resume and he might become the highest paid player in the league? Not only that, but Gutekunst did Love a solid and gave him that reworked deal la...

Re: 2024 Training Camp

There's a difference between "strong enough" and "improved". Bagent did not pose much of a deep threat last year. On short to intermediate throws he got the ball where it needed to go but there were occasions when you'd have liked to see a little more zip, a little more velocity...

The annoying moment in that video is when Williams and Bagent are next to each other throwing passes and the camera keeps panning to Williams' receiver. I'd be more interested in seeing how Bagent's arm is looking and whether his offseason work has made an obvious difference! Don't buy into the &qu...

It'll probably be around $55mil/year, which is just insane considering this will be based off of one year of play.

Moore seems quite happy playing in Chicago and despite skyrocketing WR paychecks has not even once demanded a new deal. I don't know what his relationship with Ryan Poles is like but based on the new deals Kmet and Johnson have gotten I like to think he believes he'll be taken care in due time as w...

Re: Looking for help to rush the QB

My guess is Ngakoue is overvaluing himself right now, so Poles is waiting him out and waiting for his price to fall and for him to realize he's not gonna get 10M from anyone. Poles seems to share my belief, stats be damned, that Ngakoue improved once Tez got here and would have better results this ...

The magic number for me is 2 elite WR's though, not 3. Even though I hope Poles keeps all three around (for a couple of seasons), I still have to agree with you, there. Which is exactly why I think the Odunze pick was not the best move for the team, overall. Sure, it made Caleb happy, and Odunze wa...

Re: 2024 Training Camp

DHeinz, Odunze HELPS us resign Moore, I think you have that backwards. In your preferred scenario we spent money on two FA WRs - Boyd wasn’t free. Odunze on a rookie contract helps the cap situation to extend Moore. Allen is likely one and done Boyd wouldn't have been super expensive, though. I dou...

While I view Odunze as a target Of opportunity draft pick v addressing a strategic need in Dallas Turner this is a very logical way of looking at the alternative. I would ask you though: 1) Who do you view as the superior prospect (forget need) Odunze or Turner? 2) At what point do you use a R1 lev...

What exactly would you have expected from Amegadgie this season? He wasn't expected to start. He might barely have seen the field and still might not even if he does return to health. Hardly. Missing one year isn't the end of his career. For all we know he could miss this season and go on to play at an All Pro level for the next decade. That would hardly be a waste let alone a big mistake. It always takes a few seasons to truly judge a draft pick, so let's wait and see and not o...

Re: Oregon's gonna try and break college football

NIL has no rules so anyone can pay anything to whoever they want. Basically, if a blue chip recruit comes up on a visit and asks for a certain amount of money to attend there, the Oregon coaches will just text that to Knight’s reps and they will probably just reply with a thumbs up. The problem, as...

I'm confused as to how Knight can give the program "infinite NIL money"? Now, I'm not debating he's trying to do it...but how, exactly, would that work? That seems like he's exploiting a rather large loophole in the program, does it not?
