April 25th is fast approaching. We'll see what happens that night.

Very weird read you have on Hurricanes post. Not once does he imply, let alone outright declare, that Scott is a bust. Scott isn't really an "unknown" though, is he? Hey, maybe he is, or will be, a bust--but he had an absolutely great stretch for Cincinnati. Please show me once where I ha...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Verse is a strong mother fucker, I don't love that he's going to turn 24 in November but I see him more as a kid who will get better with technique refinement. He's grown man strong already. That is kind of a bummer, but we could still theoretically get ten solid years out him. That might be worth ...

If you trade down, it’s likely there’s a run on those DEs and you don’t get any of them. I get that we want perfection here, and a trade down while still “getting our guy”, but I don’t think I’d dick around with it. Take the one you like best and call it a win. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c4/de/...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Yep, they decided it was Turner but I think it could have been Jared Verse as well. H/W/S he's a carbon copy of Will Anderson, Jr (although I'd argue Verse is stronger while Anderson is a bit more bendy) Yeah, that's a possibility. I'd actually prefer Verse...but would be happy with either. I see a...

LOVED Scooby-Doo as a kid. Wake up early on Saturdays and watch cartoons. I'd also get up early during the week and watch the Little Rascals. It was the first show to come on during the week (PSA - for our younger viewers networks didn't always run 24-hours per day. At some point they would just br...

Re: Vikings make Texans draft trade, targeting move into top 5?

In Allbright's mock draft 3 of the 4 QBs are going to teams who stuck and picked. That feels unlikely to me. Obv the Bears get to pick their favorite and the Commanders PROBABLY like 1 of the other 3 but seriously the vikings are so sure that their 3rd favorite guy is worth all this maneuvering? An...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Maybe we can put a spin on that and couple that with a "blood-line" draft - rather than "scouting by helmets" we use "scouting by parents" and completely revamp our WR room. We take CW at 1, MHJ slides to #9 and we take him. In the third we take Rice and in the 4th we ...

While going through the exercise I also selected the the highest rated from one of those slots that was available on all three sites. This should be considered a worse case scenario for the draft. 1) Caleb Williams, QB | USC, A+ 9) Jared Verse, EDGE | Florida State, A 75) Jalen McMillan, WR | Washi...

Yea, it is what it is. If we had known what we were going to ultimately do with him we’d never have drafted him. We should have fired Nagy / Pace a year earlier - I was begging for that. But Bears, we wait and then Mis-timed the QB window with a lame duck season followed by a coaching change/new of...

Outside of MHJ, Turner is the only other guy I think I might not pass on. It would depend on the offer. I give you a TLDR version of the article I linked the other day. Poles and Eberflus were watching the combine, and Poles was caught on a hot mic saying, "If he's there, I'm taking him."...

I was never hung up on the ownership deal. Neither was I. I guarantee everyone here that the partial ownership thing didn't come directly from Caleb himself. He knows enough about the NFL to recognize that's just not a deal that a rookie can make. Hell, it may not even possible for a vet to get tha...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Poles got asked about the #9 pick specifically at the NFL owners meetings today (CHGO just released a good pod covering it). Poles said they are about to do an excercise when the positions groups for WR, DE, and OT will all get their chance to to give merits for taking one of those positions versus...

Re: Plan that gets MHJ to #9

My argument is not that Hakim was the best WR in that draft. Randy Moss was taken in the same draft at #21 overall. My argument is having a stud WR3, especially if there is potential for that WR3 to quickly ascend to WR1 on the team for a long time to come, is not a bad pick. Taking an edge rusher ...

Re: Plan that gets MHJ to #9

While WR3 on Chicago, he would be WR1 for many teams in the NFL. It's ok to stack talent at the WR position in what has become a very pass heavy league. Just think about Az-Zahir Hakim for the Rams. He was clearly WR3 on that team, but did plenty of damage to opposing defenses and would have been W...

Boom. From what I've read it appears the NFL will do something and it looks like the Falcons did very little to hide what they were doing. Would the punishment come this year do you think, or is it more likely it will be 2025 draft picks? The bolded, for sure. The league will have to "investig...
