Re: QB Zach Wilson traded to Denver

Denver has declined Wilson's 5th year option.
So Payton is not all in on this guy.
This is the new Tannehill maybe.

Grown ups seeking autographs to increase the value of their collectables is just greedy.

If you mean "is he literally capable of making letters, words, and sentences?", I'm fairly sure he is. If you mean "does he have professional writing credits?", no, I don't think so. Apparently, Mr. McNown is doing just fine for himself. https://www.linkedin.com/in/cmcnown?utm_s...

It really feels like when the McCaskey's bought that land, to build a stadium. AH thought they won the Lottery and started planning how to spend all that revenue, before they even got paid. No wonder the Bears are looking elsewhere. If I was the McCaskey's I would turn it into a giant ugly fully aut...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

I still think Arlington Heights is the best solution for the Bears. The Lakefront is such a pain in the ass to get into and out of. I got no dog in this fight because I go to Chicago about once every 15 years or so. So I do not really care. Game looks the same on my TV no matter where they play. Tho...

Re: Justin Fields traded to Pittsburgh for conditional pick

Thank goodness this is over. Good luck Justin. Ryan Pace did you no favors and probably ruined your career. Pittsburgh is a good place for him as Wilson is washed. JF1 will be starting sooner than most think. Wilson is cheap enough to cut too. This trade makes Justin yet another bust for Pace. What ...

Re: Bears sign CB Jaylon Johnson to 4yr, $76m extension

I'm skeptically OK with this. JJ only started causing turnovers in the contract year. But hey! At least this deal got done unlike Roquan's. I am okay with this deal, I guess. $19M for a half a turnover a year, if resorts to his previous play level, is too much. Having an Agent tends to make these t...

Re: Loosest of speculation: Bears may push to sign RB Saquon Barkley

Over the last 4 years, David Montgomery has put up better numbers than Barkley. Poles lost out on keeping Monty for $6.5m per year and he wound up rushing for a thousand yards at a career high 4.6 yard a carry and scoring 13 TDs in 14 games. That's now the benchmark for me. If Poles signs a running...

Re: Update: Bears use franchise tag on CB Jaylon Johnson

The Franchise Tag is the answer when the player wants more money than the Tag amount by large margin. JJ wanting to reset the CB market almost guaranteed he was going to get tagged. Especially after having only 2 picks to his career and then having a season that may just be an anomaly. Let him show ...

Fields costs $6mm in 2024. If teams believe the Bears will just release him, if they wait, then keep him. Make this known when the time gets closer to the draft. Poles needs to disabuse those teams that think they can scoop up Justin as a FA or Waiver-wire pick-up. Pole does need to be realistic on ...

Re: Bears trade 5th rd pick to Bills for OL Ryan Bates

At worst he is a younger Cody Whitehair. Good interior depth, and possible starting Center. Why not? With they way Tevin keeps getting nicked up and last years FA meh pick up at RG, this is a decent insurance move. Never certain is a 5th rounder is going to even make the PS, much less the roster.

Didn’t notice anything weird at all. Just two great defenses going toe to toe, and per usual Mahomes winning at the end. SF should have gone for it in OT, I’d never have kicked that FG.
