Re: Bears officially submit bid for Arlington

The 2033 lease would give the team plenty of time to not only build a stadium, but to do the more laborious tedium of permits, buying further surrounding property, raising money/grift to lubricate the process, pay a few bribes, build a pile of hotels, negotiate Super Bowl/final four/wrestlemania shi...

Re: Bears officially submit bid for Arlington

The lease runs through 2033, but it would take about 5 years to design and build the stadium. So really the Bears would only have to buy out 5-6 years of the current lease. Also, from reading the interwebs the lease is only $6.3M per year. So the Bears could conceivably keep paying the lease and st...

My guess of what the actual parcel of property they'd buy would be:

Re: Goldman a no-show to Bears mandatory minicamp

“Eddie Goldman is a silent killer, Trevathan said. “He works his tail off, he loves his job. It’s going to great to have him this year, I know he’s going to be here this year.” He said that he’s been talking to Goldman as much as possible and that and that Goldman loves the Bears and he’s “going to...

Re: New Look

I love the dark look. But I accidentally hit that button at the top of the screen and turned it white. Hated that, and I had trouble figuring out what I did. Spent a half hour trying to turn it back when I lucked across the button. I'm just dumb I guess. That light bulb icon at the top of the scree...

Re: Goldman a no-show to Bears mandatory minicamp

I'm keeping an open mind. Until we know more there's no point in targeting Goldman with attacks about his work ethic or personal discipline. Agree 100%. I remember when Roquan missed a game under mysterious circumstances two years ago, there were board members (one who is now banned) who tagged him...

Re: Akiem Hicks looks in shape

I've never thought Akiem Hicks never gave a shit. I wouldn't go that far. Guy got hurt and he's been playing subpar ever since. Coming to camp pushing 400 and cringy dumb-ass penalties that cost the team at important times is *sorta* like not giving a shit. Sometimes these guys let their emotions g...

Mitch's Bitches Less of that. Let's keep the vibes positive. I have no earthly idea why some of you are so out for blood against one another's takes and philosophies. Re: Nagy optimism

That being said, it's either flat out incorrect or just plain dishonest to ignore the impact of Fangio and the kick in the pants the Mack trade provided. That shows up in the 12-4 record and the subsequent 8-8 seasons since Fangio left for Denver. I didn't intend to ignore Fangio and his departure,...

Tarik Cohen. Guy got a decent contract and had a bad injury. He's gotta prove he belongs.

Re: Nagy optimism

All this dick measuring that's been happening this offseason around here has been really disappointing. I'm hoping it's merely friendly ball-busting and nothing more. Lighten the hell up. As far as Nagy goes, I like him as a coach and a dude. He's one of those guys who is probably going to be coachi...

Re: Excited Delirium Over Fields

This thread is basically 10+ pages of attacking lines of thought and argument assembly/dismantling to fill the empty void of offseason. I honestly can barely muster the energy to care about what this thread has become.
