Re: Bears officially submit bid for Arlington

I just want something done for competitive purposes, it's a passionate fanbase that loves defense, let them have an impact on the game.

Re: Bears officially submit bid for Arlington

Not sure what the leverage ploy for the Bears is. Maybe there's a few more seats they can squeeze in. Is more suites a possibility? More space for parking? What's actually able to drive significant more revenue from Soldier Field (assuming a complete tear down isn't in the table). I think they are ...

Re: Bears officially submit bid for Arlington

If this ends with the Bears no longer having the smallest stadium in the NFL (seating capacity), color me thrilled.

Re: Excited Delirium Over Fields

Mitch said in his first presser with Buffalo that he wanted a place where he’d have a chance to compete for a job, but no one wanted him and it was surprising to him that it went down that way. He took less than Chase Daniel money to play a pure backup role - there’s no sugar coating it. The league...

Re: Excited Delirium Over Fields

You should email/tweet Adam Jahns and see if you can get on his podcast to discuss, he made the same comparison. Who cares about Adam Jahns? Who died and made him the Arbiter Of Truth? *shrug* It gives you another venue to voice your opinion. Do you believe that Ryan Pace made a massive mistake by ...

Re: Nagy optimism

I really disagree with you guys on this. I understand your POV, but just disagree with it. Nagy was hired for a reason, he needs to run his offense and Mitch’s inability to execute it should have led to Foles playing more and maybe trying to shore up the OL, not dumbing it down. Nagy was hired for ...

Re: Excited Delirium Over Fields

1) I just gave a clear, familiar example of how an elite defense DID play a significant role in points scored on offense. 2) No, you didn't. You gave examples showing that having an elite defense doesn't guarantee having an elite offensive points output . That's not at all the same thing as showing...

Re: Nagy optimism

I'm not arguing whether or not Mitch is a NFL QB. That's not the point. The point is that Nagy refused to tailor his offense Mitchell. He forced him to be something he's not. Even if he's NOT a NFL QB because he can't throw it deep, why would you keep encouraging him to do precisely that? If he's n...

Re: Excited Delirium Over Fields

I'll re-ask: Do you have any stats/data which correlate yards and "how good your offensive side of the ball is"? That's almost impossible by definition. What would the objective measure of "how good your offensive side of the ball is" be? Do you have any correlating points to &q...

They're about 60/40 pass to run.
That sounds about right for 2021 NFL football. I'd be very happy if we had that same ratio.
We were right there last season.

Re: Nagy optimism

@Yogi da Bear I completely agree. That’s a huge flaw in Nagy’s thought process. The strength of the team the past three years has been the defense. A running game gives the defense a breather. But a running game doesn’t fit his idea of what an offense is. And to another point of yours, when you’ve ...

I believe they are just trying out, if they perform well you'll read a blurb saying they've signed a contract to attend Training Camp.

I'm good with it... kick ass this year, continue to be a great mentor for Bilal Nichols and help out the rookie, then get paid next year and get us a comp pick.

Barring injury, week 1 will be Dalton, Fields, Foles (assuming Foles isn't traded to the Jets or elsewhere).

I doubt it happens, but I'd love this dude on the PS. He seems like one of those prospects that was in the wrong draft at the wrong time and could flourish if he gets a chance. Re: Nagy optimism

This is absolute crazy talk. Off the rails! Mitch frequently got his guys killed on short routes, sailing over their heads or throwing late/behind them. He was, in no real way, "actually pretty good at" dumps/medium passes any more than I would be if i lined up behind center. Nagy's mista...
