Re: Bears WR discussion

Another scrap heap name I'd add is James Washington. He never really found his place in Pittsburgh but maybe a change of scenery could help him. He's got a thick RB body type and could be a good addition if they end up with little speedsters again or more string beans like Mooney. I've always thoug...

Ogletree has played MLB in a 4-3 before. He started in a 4-3 in St Louis and he played in a 4-3 for the Giants before they made the switch to 3-4.

Re: Bears to interview Matt Eberflus, Colts DC

We will be loaded at DE - Mack, Quinn, Edwards Jr, and Trevis Gibson. DT is a worry, Blackson should be good but we don't really have that 3T. Goldman, Hicks, and Nichols may all be gone and Tonga probably backs up Blackson. Could a switch like this extend the life of Hicks? I'd think Attachoa woul...

Re: Bears hire Matt Eberflus to be the next Head Coach

UOK, was DBB wrong when he said the final list was 3 then? Eberflus, Caldwell, and Quinn? How would Eberflus be on that list if the only people in the room at that stage wanted either Caldwell or Quinn? Something doesn't line up. Was he wrong there or is he wrong here, both can't be correct. Becaus...

Eberflus was a candidate for multiple teams though. It's not like he was just pulled out of thin air.

If the Bears would've hired Frazier or Caldwell, I could see the "arranged marriage" angle.

And how much is that worth? Would you pay him $7-8M a year for that since that is what his market appears to be.? Paying decent money to average players is not a good way to build you team. IF you can sign him for $2-3M great, good value to be a 2 or 3 WR. Buting paying him good money to be a #1 WR...

Re: Bears hire Matt Eberflus to be the next Head Coach

Now DBB said in a follow up tweet Caldwell was actually still George's #1. But of course his GM pick is likely to pick a guy he's very comfortable with. That's not necessarily bad though. You want alignment of vision. From what I can gather, it seems like initially George wanted Frazier, but when e...

4.46 speead is not great for a NFL receiver, it is very average. I get it, you think Pringle will devlop into a Pro Bowl WR at 29 years old when the season starts, I don.'t. Just leave it as a difference of opinion and move on. There is nothing disengenious about it, just history in the NFL that ve...

I'm ok with this. I wanted Flores though. Badly. I'd love to see Caldwell as the OC. Why are you OK? I’m just asking. I was all in on Flores and I hate the idea of another coordinator taking over. Why is Eberflus ok? Because out of the three finalists, I preferred Eberflus? Granted, it was marginal...

I listed him as the Bears #1 but that doesn't make him a #1 franchise WR type. I just meant they have to get someone better than Mooney. We can have slightly different opinions about Mooney or Mooney vs a guy like Pringle, and it doesn't really change my point. Personally I think he would be the Be...

If Quinn ends up being the guy...maybe he tries to pry Calvin Ridley away. They need help on D... give them Goldman for him. Or a 3rd round pick. Ideally you'd like the HC who was just hired to have a plan for his staff, and not have Poles make that hire.

Supposedly one of the things making Quinn so attractive is the staff he's put together.

Parity is a real thing. And yet every year Vegas doesn't give every team equal odds of winning it all, they give a very wide spread of chances, including 12 teams this years at less than a 1.5% chance. And they remain very profitable in doing so. It's almost as if they know something. And there's n...
