Yeah, my guess is they've narrowed it down to a couple of guys.

I mean... he has a considerable amount of things to work on. Timing, anticipation, pocket awareness, ball security. you can't just yell "It's the OL and the coach!" and absolve JF1 needing to work on things that he absolutely needs to work on. Sure. I just mean no one thing stands out as ...

If you believe that JF1 is a generational talent (I do)... then you should also feel comfortable with the idea of him elevating the WR's he does have to work with.

Re: General Manager/Head Coach Interview Discussion

There's just too much handwringing about all of this. None of these decisions are made in a vacuum. No matter what the Bears do, no matter what approach they take, the majority of the people are going to think they are idiots for doing whatever they do. Fans: lol, the Bears have been doing this wro...

Re: Mooney moving

I do not see how Jameson Williams makes it out of round 1 with the season he had. All the more recent mocks I have seen talk about im as one of the risers. To me a WR1 is a bigger body guy that can win jump ball situations, that ain't Mooney. His contested catch rate is pretty bad, but his route ru...

Re: So if you were the Bears next GM..

Agreed. WR could be the ugliest position group (although I'd probably pick S - or even DL, if you let both FAs walk). But I think a young QB needs OL and at least an average HB far more than WRs. And in general, if you asked me which position group you'd be more comfortable with a bunch of nobodies...

Re: General Manager/Head Coach Interview Discussion

Nuance is not dead and that’s just poor sportsmanship Cooler. Folks are concerned that George, a self professed non football guy, isn’t just going to hire the GM (unavoidable unfortunately) but may also hire the HC also, or at a minimum restrict the options for the GM who he claims he wants to make...

Nuance is dead. Preference means absolute rigidity to an ideal. … there's a lot of paper resume hiring going on by fans… Two of the best comments I’ve seen in a while. People don’t hire resumes, they hire people. The resumes tell “a” story but not the whole story. We have no idea what’s happening b...

Um, I'd be ok w/ Flores as coach, but now way in hell do you give him control of the whole org. The guy's never won a thing.
Yeah, he definitely hasn't earned full control.

Re: General Manager/Head Coach Interview Discussion

I like everything I've read of Graham as a coach - but do worry if he has spent too much of his career in that NE 'bubble' and also that his last few jobs ended with the HC getting fired. He was there for McAdoo's two year run in NY before getting fired and then for McCarthy's last year in GB. Spen...

The answer to this question has to be an emphatic "no", but do the McCaskey's realize they've made a fucking joke out of this whole thing? How did they not make a short list of candidates last year when it was readily apparent to pretty much everybody that at a minimum Nagy would be gone....

You're not supposed to say this, and I may be a troglodyte, but does anyone else have discomfort that Daboll is so obviously out of shape? I do like Graham. It's nice to hear his name in the mix. He'd push Eberflus out of my top 5. No particular order after Flores...although Quinn didn't exactly improve his standing after the playoff game.

Daboll
Graham
Bowles

I can't accurately answer this until I know who the coach is and what their philosophy is. What kind of offense are they running? Do they prefer big bodied WRs or burners? Are they looking for agile linemen or maulers (this might be irrelevant for now since the guys currently on the roster are maule...

IMO, by interview HC and GM candidates simultaneously, they are moving pretty quickly. I think it's pretty fair to say that each GM candidate has said "out of who you've asked to interview, here's the 2-3 guys I'd interview for HC". Also - has any other team with an opening hired someone?...

Is there a chance he comes back now that Nagy is gone? I'd prefer he move on. It feels like there's too much water under the bridge between ARob and the entire Bears community. I was kinda rooting for the Cowboys so I wouldn't have to hear everyone within a 90 mile radius complain today. But alas. Here we are. I guess I'm going to root for whoever wins the Titans/Bengals game to win the whole thing. I wouldn't hate seeing the Cardinals in the super bowl either, but I feel ...
