Re: Austin Booker; "A Skinny Guy in a Big Guy's Body

Teams should just stop drafting after round 1 if the odds of these guys are so terrible. With the amount of R1 picks that also fail...why have the draft at all? I'm aware this post was tongue in cheek, but I'll nibble. If there's over 2200 roster slots available across the league (rosters and pract...

Re: Bears sign Deandre Carter?

I used to have an irrational hatred of Charles Leno. No one was going to convince me otherwise, facts presented be damned. The difference was I knew - and admitted - that it was completely irrational. Charles Leno was playing at a decent level and you hated him because of short arms. I also support...

Re: Why the Bears Won't Make The Playoffs

Maybe we do and maybe we don't. What awful things will befall us if we don't? This may be a playoff capable roster but it's not a championship caliber roster. If the Bears have little to no chance of reaching the NFC Championship Game whether or not they make the playoffs is no big deal to me. My m...

Re: Why the Bears Won't Make The Playoffs

I would consider 10 wins an incredibly successful season. I don't think it's a championship-level team yet, simply due to having a rookie QB, but I do think they will compete for a wildcard.

Re: Bears sign Deandre Carter?

I would agree with TMP to some degree here, maybe not all the way as the book is still out on Flus IMO. But historically the Bears haven’t gone after successful HCs often. We should have been in on Andy Reid (and no that’s not hindsight I’ve always loved him), we passed on Bruce Arians for Trestman...

I can go to a sports bar about once a season. Usually early on...first couple of weeks or so. Get some wings, have a beer or two, leave at halftime and I'm on the couch for the second half.

I tried an impossible burger recently from costco. We were at a graduation party a few weeks back and they had both real burgers and the plant-based ones and I got one from the wrong tray. It was fine...tasted burger-ish. It just had kind of a weird spongy texture. I think they have a place, but wi...

I've never been big on fishing, but the older I get the more it seems like a relaxing way to spend some downtime. I've also recently gotten back into golf... Shuffleboard and Bingo, coming up! I know this is strange in football, but in real life it's not that uncommon. I mean I work with kids that weren't even born yet when I started at my company... and I'm not that old.

People forget that Flus cut his teeth under Rob Ryan. Anthony Spencer, DeMarcus Ware, and Sean Lee all had exceptional years when he was their LB coach in Dallas.

You are losing exactly about a half of a sack per game in Jones and Ngakoue (combined). That doesn't feel like a huge hill to climb.

Re: Zacch Pickens / DL article

Good read here: https://apple.news/AZ3aFP7DOTfChjyqN1x2MXg Correctly noted our depth problem at the DL position and that we have the third most cap space in the league. Now is the window to add a guy ahead of camp, I’m in for Ngakoue. That’ll help inside also allowing Walker to play more there if P...

I'm looking forward to the season more than I have in several years. 2019 was probably the last time I was this excited...and we all know how that went. SO...I'm trying to not get out over my skis because I have worked so hard on not letting myself be disappointed by this team. Hope hurts sometimes....

No one else was around so it wasn’t a practice rep it was just a photo opp. That's why I was baffled. If Stevenson can catch deep throws or punts with 1 hand, I'm pretty impressed. Except it didn't move at all like a pass or a punt. And if it wasn't a pass or a punt, why is anyone going to the effo...

That included recoveries of their own fumbles. They forced 13 and recovered 6 of those last year. Recovering 20 forced fumbles this coming season is very ambitious. Almost like fumble recovery is - random. Hmmm Jesus dude. You could've just left this one in your vast rolodex of "things DP has ...
