Re: The 2024 Draft

The Penix thing still blows my mind. It’s like the whole Glennon/Trubisky situation. Also, I’m absolutely thrilled with the Bears first round. Thrilled. A little different in that Cousins doesn't suck donkey balls, but definitely a weird move, imo. By the time Penix likely starts, they'll have used...

I would love for the Bears to get an edge rusher at 75, but I’m so happy right now I don’t even care.

Yeah. Outside of the Bears, I think the Vikings have had the second best draft.

I still think they give Williams 13. Unless he actually prefers 18 that is.

This is an incredible draft for the Bears so far. I don’t even care who they pick in rounds 3/4.

Watching the pre-draft coverage and I forgot how big Cam Newton is. Holy shit he’s a large human being.

Can’t believe he was a QB and not a DE.

NFLN is saying that Jayden Daniles' three-day visit with the Commanders did not been go well at all, to the point that Daniels has said he would like to play for a different team. Yeah, I don't feel bad for them at all. Autographs are silly (IMO) and 99% of famous people hate doing them.

Grown people paying outlandish money and standing in line for hours so that another grown person can write on something for them...is lunacy.

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Asked whom the Bears should draft ninth, Williams first named Penn State tackle Olu Fashanu, his former high school teammate who would “put his life on the line protecting me ,” and then settled on one of the top three receivers. “Whoever’s there at 9,” Williams said. If alt and the wrs are gone, I...

Some local Dallas guys are speculating that the Niners are trying to package Brandon Aiyuk plus their 1st and 2nd round picks to move up to 9 so they can take one of the top tackles.

I don't know if there's legs to it, but it's at least a rumor on Dallas sports radio.

I really want the Texas monster in the 3rd now (some even have him slipping to 4th) He can't give you 80% of the snaps ......50% is absolutely pushing it But he can give you dominant snaps Absolutely perfect guy for a rotation What's interesting about T. Sweat is that he's like 6'5 345lbs, and yet ...

As others have pointed out, this is a good business move by the Bears. They know he's getting a GM gig soon, so this extension ensures that they receive comp picks.

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

Leaf had problems that went beyond just his ego. He had significant behavioral issues that the Chargers just flat out ignored. He also got legit fat right before the draft and blew off scheduled visits with the Colts. There were red flags all over the place, but there wasn't as much of a peek behind...

Outside of QB, my "need" ranking is: Pass Rusher (preferably off the edge) WR OL (doesn't matter if it's T/G/C, but preferably IOL) 3rd TE LB I don't have S or Corner on my list for 2024. DT specifically is pretty low too. They have Dexter/Pickens/Billings/Walker/Cowart. And there's still ...

Defense isn't completely irrelevant just because the Bears are drafting Caleb Williams. Especially when the Bears have done an excellent job in surrounding Williams with established veterans. Alt absolutely will not be there. MHJ absolutely will not be there. Nabers probably will not be there. Odun...

Re: Borom may be in jeopardy

I was absolutely convinced that I was the best outside linebacker on my college football team. Hands down.

But what had happened was...I really wasn't. I was 3rd string and ended up getting moved to tight end and even spent part of a season as a very undersized offensive tackle.
