I'd like to throw out a TV show recommendation as well. Wife and I started watching 3 Body Problem on Netflix. It's really good.

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

I don't care where they build the thing. I just want the Bears to have a modern sporting complex like other successful teams.

I believe it will be in AH, but unless you are a Chicagoan, who really cares? All looks the same on my TV from down here in Dallas.

Assuming he doesn't turn 4 picks into 11 picks like he did his first year, I could see him looking for a NT type after the draft. Who? Any prospects come to mind? Here are some 5th to 7th round/UDFA types that I like: Khristian Boyd - Northern Iowa Jordan Jefferson - LSU Myles Murphy - North Caroli...

I think I could get on board with Allen only being a one year rental. I'd like the Bears to keep him for two, but I'd understand them not.

Outside of MHJ, Turner is the only other guy I think I might not pass on. It would depend on the offer. I give you a TLDR version of the article I linked the other day. Poles and Eberflus were watching the combine, and Poles was caught on a hot mic saying, "If he's there, I'm taking him."...

The most infuriating thing about deions shortlist is Washington is on it. Seriously WTF that is a garbage ass franchise. You're right. Here's the full list that Deion mentioned: Deion then listed the NFL cities where they will play — Atlanta, Washington, Dallas, Baltimore, and San Francisco. I woul...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

Chicago also won't see a Superbowl in the new stadium if they try and develop on the lakefront. Why would that be? It seems to me if the stadium is on the lakefront, it becomes a more likely site than if out in the 'burbs. Fan get to come and stay in Chicago the whole time and don't have the commut...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

My favorite thing about taking Caleb this year may not be that I think he's the best QB in the last few drafts, it's that next year we won't have to even discuss the possibility of taking Shedeur Sanders. That dude is just too much for me. He was doing an interview yesterday talking about how much ...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I don't like Legette at all. For starters he only had like 400 total yards in college before going off as a senior. He has great vertical speed, but he seems super tight otherwise. He reminds me of Treylon Burks/Laviska Shenault. Both are big and fast, but have struggled quite a bit against NFL corn...

Re: Packer's secret agents are still unemployed

He's fast, blocks well, and his hands aren't that bad...but he might be the worst route runner the Bears have had in the last 10 years. Yes, this is largely because he appears to be stiff as a board and can't really bend. Good dude, tho. He's a fringe roster guy at this point, but you can do worse....

Re: Vikings make Texans draft trade, targeting move into top 5?

I assume they are stocking first rounders to acquire JF1. /sarcasm I think it's nuts that the Patriots don't draft a QB. The Patriots might have a bad roster that includes lots of FA bust veterans so, if I was their GM, I would have a placeholder quarterback throwing to Juju and Kendrick Bourne thi...

He was pretty bad in Indy as an LT, but was passable in SF as a pinch-hitting RT. And yet the Bears may see him as backup LT? They also signed Curhan who seems to a RT. Poles added some vet depth all across the OL but is quality high enough to resist drafting another OL in round one? I see Curhan a...

Re: What value would Braxton Jones have?

I'll never understand the rush to replace Braxton. If he was picked at like #20 everyone would be talking about how the Bears stole him. He's arguably the 2nd or 3rd best OT to come out of that draft. I get that the probability of the best value for pick #9 is likely a tackle, but that just means a ...

Harbaugh is crazy. I'm half surprised they didn't trade Herbert - the fit with him and Roman seems odd to me. Harbaugh is like Parcells/Darth Vader in that he wants "his guys", and it's his personnel moves that will ultimately do him in IMO. He likes his "try hard guys" who will...

If it helps anyone, Jason Lieser mentioned in an article about Joe Alt that the Chargers’#5 pick and Falcons’ #8 pick are known around the league to be up for sale. Was that written before the Chargers cut Williams and traded Allen? As I'd imagine they'll go WR at #5, now? I doubt it. Harbaugh isn'...

I have no real basis for this, but I truly believe Jenkins wants to play OT. I'd like to think he is going to be a Bear for a long time, but I think there's probably a 70% chance he leaves in FA and gets P A I D. The Bears score a comp pick and find a more traditional guard. As far as Davis goes, un...

When a rating outfit scores a backup OT whose working on a vet minimum deal the highest I'd go looking for someone else's ratings. Maybe he performed well in very limited action - data can behave that way sometimes. Particularly when the data set if very small. He was pretty bad in Indy as an LT, b...

Listening to the PFF podcast the other day and they were talking about Harrison and not working out at the pro-day or at the combine. Trade down for Verse, Chop, Latu, or Newton. I have to say, I haven’t seen much on Newton but the little I’ve seen, good god does he play a violent brand of football. Turner is definitely a top 10 pick. From a talent standpoint, Latu absolutely is. Just depends on how teams feel about his health.

The problem is that there are 4 QBs likely to go in the top 10, along with 3 WRs and 3 OTs. That's your top 10.

There isn't a tackle vineyard, either. Don't look now, but Chris Morgan is running Joe Alt's Pro Day... Pretty interesting that they have worked out Alt and Fuaga so far. I would imagine the only reason they didn't work out Fashanu is because he has a quad injury from the combine. All three of thos...

They’d have to ‘un-retire’ number 3 Maybe less likely than give him #1 Guessing 1 goes to a receiver this year. I think Williams will go with 15-19. I don't think it's a big deal. In order, the distribution of targets will probably be something like: 1a: Moore 1b: Allen 2: Kmet 3: Everett 4: Swift 5: WR3 (Scott) And while Allen is 32, I expect him to have at least one or two more solid years. If for some reason Allen were to get hurt, I would imagine there will just be more t...
