Re: Tampering Cases May Be Decided Before the Draft

I'm hoping for the "drop ATL to 32" scenario because it helps the Bears so much. I wouldn't mind if they lost the #8 pick all together.

Re: WAB Mock Draft

If we're not trading back, I'm going to assume either Fashanu or Turner are still there. They would be hard to pass up. You also have 8 OT's going in the first round, which would be an NFL Draft record. Not saying it's not possible. So much talent at that position this year. Overall though, if we c...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I could be completely wrong, but I just feel like this Murphy-to-the-Bears talk is a lot of nonsense. Murphy isn't even close to what the Bears look for in a 3T. This isn't Lovie Smith's Bears.

Re: Borom may be in jeopardy

He could offer to tear up the contract and take a pay cut / Poles could ask him to take a pay cut if they really wanted to make it work. I just don't think either side is interested and I wonder if he has a future somewhere else as a Guard My guess is that he's claimed by Atlanta. Pace (even though...

Re: WAB Mock Draft

I think Verse will be fine and fills a need but I am really turned off by the lack of improvement between 2022 and 2023. He just seems like a 6-8 sack a year DE2 to me and that's not what I want from my #9 pick. In this scenario, assuming nobody wants to trade back, I think I'd rather get Murphy be...

Re: 2024 Draft - How Many Picks?

Poles is going to trade back several slots. I'm guessing between picks 15-20. I'm gonna say that the Steelers trade up from 20 to 9, and pick Rome Odunze before the Jets can get him. They give up #20, #51, #98 plus a 2025 3rd round pick. Lucky for the Bears, there's a run on OT's between picks 10 a...

Re: Tampering Cases May Be Decided Before the Draft

Adam Schefter is reporting that the tampering case against the Falcons may he decided before the draft. He doesn't think any decision will involve the loss of a draft pick, especially a 1st rounder. However, he believes it possible that the Falcons draft pick will be moved from 8 to the end of the ...

Re: 2024 Draft - How Many Picks?

I think the Bears end up with two more picks. I don't know if it comes from trading down from 9, or if it comes from trading #75, but I think they come away with 6.

*I did not mock it this way, because it's a pain in the ass

I could be dead wrong but I get the sense that he has enough EQ to understand how and when to put his cockiness to work. Make no mistake, this is a team full of pros and they will push and haze him until they feel he has earned the right to be cocky. I know one thing — NOBODY wants to go to war wit...

WAB Mock Draft

I know, I usually do a 7 round mock, but no one really cares about other picks besides the Bears, so it's too much for too little payout. Anyway, I didn't want the year to go by without doing one, so here. 1. Chicago f/CAR : Caleb Williams - QB - USC As expected. Hopefully Williams ends whatever cur...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Im hearing from one of my sources , ( some guy on the radio whos name I cant remember ), he thinks the Patriots trade back to try and fill a bunch of holes and either rely on Brisset this year or trade back with thoughts of JJ and stacking picks. Either way....Thursday night is MUST SEE TV FOR ME! ...

Latu is my favorite defensive player in the draft by a wide margin. But I'm honestly not interested in taking on an injury risk. If Turner is off the table and the Bears are targeting a DE, I'm fine with Verse.

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Don't think he's a Tackle Fautanu can play tackle in the pros. He's got the physique plus decent arms (34.5"). But it would be shocking for Poles to pass on 3 blue-chippers at positions of need and ignore DL for a 3rd rounder in a draft not noted for depth. The Bears have the opportunity to re...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Nothing we haven't been over before. If the top ten go as expected with Minny trading up for a QB IMHO the most likely of the top position players to still be on the board is Odunze. If that's the case I don't think it would be wise to pass on him at all. I still think it might go CW, Odunze, DE/Ed...

Re: Jer’zhan Newton

Don't see him dropping lower than 19, the Rams need a Donald replacement. If the Bears trade down, it will come down to him, Murphy, Latu, Verse, Thomas, or an OT. I see this a lot, and from the outside looking in, it does seem like a need. But the Rams have been getting Kobe Turner ready to take o...

Early in the year people were talking about him as a top 10 pick. He spent the season moving back and forth from DT to DE and never really settled in. Plus he has a gimpy foot that rears it's head from time to time.

Brad Biggs did his v3.0 mock with the Bears amazingly passing on Naber, Odunze, and Alt to trade down w/Denver for a 3rd and they take Washington OT Troy Fautanu. FWIW Alt, Fuaga, and Fautanu all carry a nearly identical NFL Post Combine Grade. Don't think he's a Tackle I think he goes higher than ...
