Re: "The NFL QB Who Didn't Give A ****"

I still think about what 2011 might have been.

Bears had won 5 in a row (7-3) and were rolling. Cutler broke his thumb trying to tackle a Charger who intercepted a pass after Johnny Knox broke off his route.

Bears went 1-5 rest of the season

I didn't think this team could be worse than last year, but there is not a single bright spot.

0-17 is a very real possibility.

Re: Update: Aaron Rodgers finally traded to Jets

As I posted in the the game thread, I had hoped the Bears would end Rodgers' career like they did Favre's. A former Bear doing it is the next best thing, because fuck that guy. I hear he was treated with ivermectin and bleach last night, and he's doing his own research on Achilles injuries. So, he m...

Re: WK 1 // Bears (0-0) vs. Packers (0-0)

Life is good when you've had 30 years of HOF QB play. It's a QB league - How ordinary has Belichick been without Brady or Tomlin without Roethlisberger? Although I would have loved for the Bears to end Rodgers' career like they did Favre's, I breathed a sign of relief when he left. Now we can compet...

Re: Nagy the successor to Reid?

I have no desire to dwell on Nagy. He wasn't a good coach. He started out surrounded by good coaches that hid/lessened many of his coaching and decision-making deficiencies. Did he face some adversity as a coach? Yes definitely. Did he put in place a good plan to overcome that adversity and build u...

Re: TMP's Football Dilemma: McNagy and Mahomes

I love the playoffs despite the Bears rarely being a part of them. Usually, my primary focus is rooting for Packer fail, but I didn't even have to worry about that this year. I have considered the 49ers my second favorite team since their first SB win, although I join Atkins&Rebel in a bit of li...

That was the most fun I've had in a while.

Is it a turnaround or fool's gold?

We can start to find out in Dallas Sunday.

Anyway, we're tied with the Packers.

Huge disappointment.

Packer players hardly ever get called for penalties. Our penalties should decrease a lot next season.

Re: The NFC North's Outlook if Rodgers Departs: Bleak. 4 Teams in a Rebuild?

I think most everyone here was hoping for Harbaugh. The word is the Bears wouldn't give him what he wanted (Gruden type 10 year , $100M), so they moved on.

It will be so Bears if he goes to Minnesota and dominates the division for the next decade.

I hate this, but he’d be an obvious huge announcer like Romo is I'm not sure. He is such a huge gaping asshole that he can't hide that unlikable personality. One thing I am sure of is he won't make any quick decision about his future. Remember when Rachel Nichols camped in front of Favre's house fo...

I've watched thousands of football games, and can't think of a better one. Both quarterbacks were brilliant and both teams played at a high level (0 turnovers, 4 penalties).

I'm starting to think Josh Allen is Manning to Mahomes' Brady.

The motherfucking Packers are going to win the Super Bowl. The only joy I've gotten from the NFL the last 10 years has been watching them get eliminated. Sure, Rodgers owns the Bears. But, he didn't own Kaepernick running wild, the Seahawks coming back from 0-16 in the last 2 minutes, or the GOAT l...

That game was like a shitshow and a dumpster fire had a baby.

All three teams were laughably bad.

I will give credit to the "Who's that guy?" Bears defensive backfield. They did what they could, and much better than anyone could have expected.

2012 was such a weird season. Bears started 7-1, then dropped 5 of 6. Won the last two just to have a chance for the playoffs. IIRC, no one was clamoring for Lubbie to stick around.

49-0 at the half. OSU mercifully called off the dogs, or they could have scored 100.

Gave me flashbacks to his Bears DC days, when his "defense" regularly gave up fifty burgers.
