Re: Vikings make Texans draft trade, targeting move into top 5?

In Allbright's mock draft 3 of the 4 QBs are going to teams who stuck and picked. That feels unlikely to me. Obv the Bears get to pick their favorite and the Commanders PROBABLY like 1 of the other 3 but seriously the vikings are so sure that their 3rd favorite guy is worth all this maneuvering? And...

I'm more concerned about the fit than the details of the cost. You hope that the Bears stay healthy enough at EDGE that he can play on passing downs only but it's a risk

Re: Ryan Poles Presser

He was careful not to mention coaching but he fired Getsy, Tolbert, and Jonoko for a reason. I don't buy that it was just red meat for the pro-Justin contingent. Poles made a mistake thinking that trio could maximize the 2023 roster. I think he's owning that, which is nice. I'd like to see Flus take...

Re: Vikings make Texans draft trade, targeting move into top 5?

I assume they are stocking first rounders to acquire JF1. /sarcasm I think it's nuts that the Patriots don't draft a QB. The Patriots might have a bad roster that includes lots of FA bust veterans so, if I was their GM, I would have a placeholder quarterback throwing to Juju and Kendrick Bourne thi...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I agree with dplank here that opportunities for late-round picks are pretty slim. I have my list of roster “locks” below and this doesn't include the guys who are very good special teams players. Offense (19) WR (4) DJ, Keenan, TS, VJJ OL (7) Brax, Tev, Nate Davis, Wright, Ryan Bates, Coleman Shelto...

Brock Bowers

Before I watched his tape I was firmly in the camp of "No TEs in the first round because they'd already be very highly paid". And I know the in-line guys take 2-3 years to develop because they need to learn so much. But then I watched some Bowers tape and he looked like Matt Forte to me......

I think he MIGHT be a good pro Heinz D. but he hasn't shown enough in college nor does he have the traits to be and he's only ranked as highly as he is because of his personality. He's the "I would let him marry my daughter" that old coaches love. Going deeper on this would be controversia...

Id like to see it be #1 Moore #2 Allen #3 rookie with the 1st rounderk(i'm assuming Williams is a Bear) #4/#5/#6 Scott/FA/ESB/rookie in whatever order camp shakes them out I...

Making the case for a first round WR: 1. The defense proved it can be very effective with personnel currently on the roster. Losing Justin Jones and is not going to sink the unit. There will be 3rd wave vets like Yannick Ngakuoe available if needed. 2. The offense has never proved anything. Really ...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Nabers is so special that I'd challenge the coaches to deal with whatever perceived diva-ness he has. The WRs we have right now are rock-solid all-business guys who will definitely help. Odunze is a little less special IMO but he's a great fit to a group that could use a tall ball-winner. The OT que...

I wouldn’t mind a brief extension and I wouldn’t mind if it’s an expensive rental. This is like getting a an Uber X instead of a regular Uber cuz it’s your anniversary.
