Re: Waldrons debut
I think it was a weird game script so I don't want to conclude that these are his tendencies. Still, I didn't see anything special in terms of design of adjustments. My hope is that he is slowly installing his playbook and thus the vanilla passing schemes right now.

Re: Week 1 // Bears (0-0) vs Titans (0-0)
I came away feeling good about CW's decision-making. His accuracy is not going to be an issue forever - he's always been a very accurate QB - the more typical question is around making reads. I'm interested to hear what the former-QBs like JT O'Sullivan have to say about his choices. The throws them...

Eberflus looking at the roster build "so we're all in" Poles "yes it's time to win." Velus is staying because Poles is done adding mid-round guys for depth - he's maximizing playmaking for THIS season instead

Re: Week 1 // Bears (0-0) vs Titans (0-0)
There's no good reason why the Bears shouldn't win this game decisively. The Titans are in the middle of a chaotic rebuild and the Bears match up well in basically every spot. The Bears offense will look good during the scripted period, then rely on big plays for the rest of the scores. Bears 30 Tit...

Not as impactful against the Bengals but there were still some good reps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPgi7sIDIAE I'm a fan of this kid. He's gonna be a very good player in a couple of years. As for now, he really needs to work on timing his jumps to deflect passes lol. He was like a full secon...

I don't want to give up big plays to a rookie so I'd go cover-2 and wait for one of my front 4 to get home.

I want to see Booker and Hardy against the OT1s. I'm dying to know if they've got the goods or they're just bumslayers right now.

He has the potential to play 4 spots but a year of lifting weights and "mental reps" won't be enough that we're all comfortable without a vet option next offseason.

Re: Preseason Week 4 // Bears (3-0) @ Chiefs (0-2)
Agreed with everyone here - the oline is not "gelled" so they need the reps. I still believe in the talent-level but we haven't seen their best yet and we don't want Caleb bailing on the pocket every play.

Re: Bears Have Activated OT Kiran Amegadjie from NFI
Damn I forgot he was a 3rd round pick. I agree that it's an IR season for him but I'm annoyed because that's an early pick for a guy who is looking like a 2025 OG4 at this point.

Re: Preseason Week 1 // Bears v. Texans
I thought Ryp was throwing too many hospital balls. Everything was slow and high. He has no zip on his passes. That prob translates into picks in real games - which explains his career stat line.

I still want Ngakue as an insurance policy. The Bears have the money. There's no reason to trust a rookie or believing that the light suddenly came on for a journeyman based on like 1 padded practice.

Re: ESPN doesn't think too highly of our Bears
We don't have the established stars so it's easy to just say "i don't know what the young players will do" and call the roster average. It's a cowardly way to do it. If you're a sports analyst you're responsible for 1) scouting draft picks and having a perspective 2) identifying a draft ex...

Re: Why the Bears Won't Make The Playoffs
I don't disagree with any of the points made but I'm looking at the NFC and feeling good about the Bears being more solid than enough of the other wildcard contenders to get a spot: Cowboys lead by garbage HC Mike McCarthy with questionable oline and no big additions Rams minus Aaron Donald Seahawks...

Just need someone to give him like $3.5 million a year (before the Draft) That should be enough to offset a comp pick if we sign another FA Herbert's limitation is he's fairly one-dimensional. He's not a good receiver out of the backfield, he's not a good pass blocker. He can pop off nicely as a ro...

Re: Using last years 53 and current roster....
I could see Khalid Kareem knocking DomRob off the roster. If an LB or DB look very good on ST maybe that bumps someone elsewhere? If Waldron isn't comfortable with only 3 TEs maybe they sign a vet and that bumps someone in another group? I agree with Poles - it'll be tough to make this roster

Re: 2024 Bears Schedule
This looks favorable for a rookie QB. The first game is against a shit opponent. Early bye to change course if it hasn't been working. If this team is rolling, the second half of the season is going to be very intense because all of the divisional games are bunched up and ranking in the division cou...
