Re: Marquess Wilson

No special teams ability really hurts him. He could be a street pick up once the season starts but, despite liking him, can't see it happening. Dude...I totally understand the importance of special teams.....but this receiving core is 'special needs' I'm by no means suggesting Wilson is the answer....

Re: The "I've seen enough, start Trubisky" Thread

Look at Sam Bradford... Dude isn't a world beater right now, but he's infinantly better then he was in STL. He was hearing footsteps. Wasn't seeing the field and going through his reads.... Now he's grown as a QB and see's the field much better. He's not a great arm talent and doesn't take many risk...

Re: Cam Meredith tears ACL

In the long run...this could be fortunate for him. Hopefully the dearth of talent at WR forces the Bears to make a move next offseason and they acquire another receiver to run outside and let Cam move back to the slot. Last year Meredith averaged 2.89 of separation on his targets in the slot compar...

Bill are in full blown tank mode....and aren't shy about who knows it.

I don't even really have a problem with that in itself....but I just don't think they are getting great value for the vets they are moving.

I know this wasn't the direction you were trying to go with this post....but I think it illustrates another great point. I have got high hopes for this dude, but this injury shit is making me doubt the dude will ever play a full season. I think it's unfair to say he would have disappointed outside, because there is no way to know for sure. Eh, I can't get worked up about the money because it really depends on how the contract is structured. Totally agree.....look at all the 'rage' against Jay's huge deal and how he only ended up with the 54 mill that was guaranteed. So yes...if they want to give Hicks a 200 million dollar deal with j...

The goal is to win Superbowls correct? Of the last 11 QBs to win the Superbowl.....8 of them did not start week one of their rookie year. ... I LOVE Hicks and IMO he's been arguably the best player on the Bears roster since he signed here. But I've always been against giving big bodies on the defensive line big contracts and I'm not about to change my mind now. Go back at look at EVERY defensive lineman's multi year deal signed in the las...

Get the O-ling straightened out. I get all this excitement about Trubisky but why start him week one? Is this suddenly a playoff team with him under center?
