Re: To Sign or Not to Sign

But, this is talking extension now, if you keep him then franchise he gets 9-10 mill over the next two years. It all depends on what they believe he can become. One knee injury, like Cohen, and he could be done. Extensions are still going to consider the cap growth. Do you see big growth in running...

Re: Has anyone changed their mind on Daboll?

You could see the progress with Bill and the browns, owners just got antsy after an injury riddled season. McD flamed out both places he wasn’t under Bill very fast and left his people in place with Indy in limbo. I think he is probably a great OC, I just don’t believe his past indicates any succes...

Re: Has anyone changed their mind on Daboll?

Bill Belichick was once fired, too. From what I gathered, he never watched the footage but did fail to report it to the league. The 2011 Rams had Sam Bradford, A.J. Feeley and Kellen Clemens start games for them (woof) B Marsh is/was a cancer everywhere he went (interestingly enough, no team he eve...

Re: To Sign or Not to Sign

Probably a shorter, 3 year max extension, 3 for 18-21 75% guaranteed, give him some cash up front, let him up his value on the open market, he then hits big time and you let him walk. Or, you play out the contract, franchise him if he really hits, and go from there. That's too low. That's Cohen con...

Re: Has anyone changed their mind on Daboll?

McD has a .393 winning percentage as a head coach and was jettisoned 12 games into his second season at the helm, got whacked for videotaping another teams walkthrough and then took the st. louis rams offense to an awesome 12.1 ppg in 2011. He also jettisoned the players, like B Marsh, that made a l...

Re: To Sign or Not to Sign

Monty has changed my mind. I try to extend him ASAP at a reasonable level before he hits it big time. What does reasonable level mean though? Devil is in the details A Cohen like contract or a little more. He has never been considered top tier, but what I see tells me he could. 5-6 million aav, may...

Re: Has anyone changed their mind on Daboll?

There is no doubt McD can run an offense and his QBs perform. He has done absolutely nothing to deserve personnel power. He stunk it up in Denver when he had a big say and his committal/decommital with Indy would give me a heck of a lot of pause at him even being a head coach. Maybe you could argue ...

That's why they should have fired him and left his ass in Detroit on Thanksgiving. You move up in the 2nd round to pick him and then don't get him on field to develop. :frustrated:
When exactly has Nagy been truthful about players and staters? He will get some time if physically ready.

Re: Game Balls and Horns - Wk 13 vs Cards

Game Balls - all of them - go to Monty, well maybe a 1/2 of ball to Grant but I would then take it away for letting that punt, which could have been fair caught at about the 15 hit and get downed at the 3. Forgot about Roquan. He gets a game ball for sure. Horns - Nagy - His offense has more people ...

Re: Why my wish is Harbaugh for the bears coach

I think Harbaugh is gonna ride the wave of beating OSU. I think he is staying at Michigan next year. He was doubted prior to the big win and now he is a god at his alma mater. Michigan can pay him more than the Bears. They can also give him more perks than the Bears. I think if he wanted to bolt, i...

Why my wish is Harbaugh for the bears coach

He has nfl head coach experience and was ultra successful. 44-18 as a head coach, including 4-0 vs the Aaron Rogers led pack. He knows Chicago as he played QB here. He knows the demands and media of the city. He successfully developed both Alex Smith (who was thought of as a bust before him) and Col...

There is 32 NFL GM and Head Coaching jobs in the world, 32. All of them are attractive. The bears are ultra attractive because it's chicago. Just like the cubs the bears are a headline NFL franchise amongst the top in value, regardless of recent performance. You think the cubs losing for 108 years e...

Still on the Harbaugh train, successful at every level including the NFL. Developed two athletic QB into something that turned to nothing when he left or were nothing before he got there. Brought in good coordinators.

Re: Nagy Hot Seat

Nagy has always been a gadget guy. Cohen got less effective as he went along, Patterson, etc. because Nagy designs special plays that they only run when they are in the game so defenses can key on them.

Love ice fishing, but mostly fish 1 mile from the house in the winter.

Blue gills and perch on the local lake with the occasional walleye, northern or channel cat.

Re: The Hunting & Fishing Thread

Well, we got a couple does this week as all we had for rifle season was doe tags. Of course the last two nights we had 6 different bucks come up within 15 yards, go figure.

Muzzleloader season starts next weekend and I have a buck tag for that.

Re: Delerious Excitement over Fields

I see the explosive plays from fields and the down field accuracy. My worry is twofold, the just maintaining positive plays where you can get them and his pocket presence. Hopefully both will improve, but he doesn’t have any sort of feel for the pocket, fumbles a lot, and struggles to take what’s th...

I have used baitcasters but I prefer spinning reals. Partially ease partially money. A good bait caster is expensive and needs some skill. I generally use monofilament, I use braid on slop or is fishing musky. I really like a wacky worm set up all year all types of fishing from slop to deep draggin...

Since the 257 is longer, making them both a 250 would require a new barrel on one of the rifles. You may be able to rechamber the 250 savage to 257 roberts, but make sure the magazine will hold the longer ammo. 250 savage cartridge overall length is 2.515” by the book. 257 roberts coal is 2.775” Bot...
