Re: Nagy Hot Seat

ND playing at Illinois (hoops) last night ... the Illini students were yelling "Hire Nagy", mocking ND and putting a funny twist on the "fire Nagy" trend at games. Then later as the clock wound down, they shouted L-S-U! Which was all pretty mean and pretty funny.

Re: Has anyone changed their mind on Daboll?

Yeah, but McDaniels is also a sneaky/shady dude. He is a great offensive mind. Look at how he's developed Mac Jones. But after the way he shafted Indy, I wouldn't want to see that type of guy coaching the Bears. I understand the Indy thing. He clearly did what he thought was best for him. Per this ...

Re: Is Vildor The Worst CB We've Ever Had?

Daniels is still only 24. He's put on like 35lbs since being drafted and looks like he's really starting to develop into something. I'd hate to let him walk, but yes, guards are pretty easy to replace. If we could just wave a magic wand, I'd transfer Whitehair's money to Daniels and let Whitehair w...

Bear: 20
Card: 34

Bears can stop them in the red zone and force them into a FG twice. But that's basically it.

Re: Matt Nagy deserves a little credit

Yea, that. Nagy sucks. I have a theory about 2018 too. I think John Fox created a typical John Fox team, remember he was brought in to toughen up our team that went soft and quit on Trestman. Our OL played it's best football under Fox, gashing teams with the run game / Jordan Howard. Our D got real...

Re: Week 12 // Thanksgiving // Bears (3-7) @ Lions (0-9-1)

I definitely blame Nagy. It seems weird that he has been recognized on occasion for creative play design... but then we're having this conversation. But I think how that reconciles is while he has put some creative stuff out there that either did or clearly could have worked, more often than not his...

Re: Week 12 // Thanksgiving // Bears (3-7) @ Lions (0-9-1)

End zone seats are great when the actions at your end, not so much when it's all down the other end. Yeah - agreed. But the big screens they have at the stadiums now really help that. It's cool being so close to the action. We were on the side around the 30 a few years ago and even though you're do...

No shit? Tom Brady isn't coming with him? I never thought of that! You're comparing JF1 to Jameis... and that's about all of this fine conversation, as far as I'm concerned. I get you. I’m not comparing Justin Fields to Winston, I’m looking at Leftwich’s track record of developing a young player th...

I've been a Bear Fan since I saw Gale Sayers in High School . This is the worst I've ever seen . Nagy is full of shit . His Rah - Rah speeches now fall on Deaf Ears . He's not a HC , just a Cheer Leader . Tell me the last time he out coached anyone ? The next thing is , Bears " Management &quo...

Re: Has anyone changed their mind on Daboll?

You mean Jameis. Their offense was pretty good and put up good numbers with lesser players prior to Brady. I don't remember the Reid quote. But again - what is said is different than what is actually done. Byron's been running the Tampa offense for 3 years, and independently for the last 2. And he'...

Re: Hub Arkush: George McCaskey instructed team to start Fields

I trust two Bears best reporters when it comes to their reports and sources: 1. Brad Biggs 2. Hub Arkush Biggs has legit sources throughout the league, and Hub had been doing this for a very long time. My guess is George leaked this to Hub so it softens the blow for if/when Nagy gets whacked. It al...

Re: Hub Arkush: George McCaskey instructed team to start Fields

I believe Hub, and I believe the owners have the right to do that ... especially when they have a head coach who is already on double secret probation. The only problem I have with that sort of mandate is when it happened the water was already under the bridge so to speak with JF1's preparation. He ...

I get all the cynicism for sure - and watching this team has been painful. But c'mon, man - it's Turkey Day and the Bears are playing on national TV against a team they absolutely should beat (and have already this season).

My prescription is "take the joy when you can get it".

Re: Has anyone changed their mind on Daboll?

Maybe - but Nagy hadn't done anything. This is not even close to an analogy. Reid never said he turned over the offense completely to Nagy. As a matter of fact he only "let" him call a handful of games. Imagine Reid saying he wouldn't take a job if Nagy wasn't with him (lol). Reid said ou...

I'd say roughly half of Bears fandom wanted Nagy fired last year - that half was correct lol. This has absolutely devolved into a massive shit show, making the Bears a laughing stock yet again. This organization just doesn't operate with any urgency at all. They see failure and can't wrap their hea...

I'm a Bears fan. Why are you all here? :D I interpreted the question as “if you were an NFL team which one would you rather be?”. Urlacher was Phil Emery I really cringe when I hear fans chanting "Fire Nagy". I get it, and I get that it actually helps move the McCaskey's to action as they can't like hearing that, but I just feel bad for the guy. He tried his hardest, it wasn't for lack of effort or desire to succeed...

I like Leftwich. It isn't just the success with Brady. Although Brady has raved about him (and he's younger than Brady). It is Arians' opinion, reliance on & promotion of him. From wiki: Pre-Brady, Leftwich in his first year had the offense humming with Jameis (Byron didn't throw the INTs). JF1...

I didn't hear all the comments from the presser - but that's a typical Nagy non-answer that has grown SO tiresome. "That's not accurate" doesn't tell us anything. It could easily mean "that's not exactly the wording as it was said to me", and they really did have a conversation ...

If the direction is a defensive coordinator and experienced guy, I'd love to see Les Frazier come home. Also it isn't unprecedented for teams to trade for coaches. Bears don't have draft picks but how about approaching WFT with a Mack for Chico deal? Chico's always been my guy. But offensively, my p...
