Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

The thought of that makes me want to have a cigarette and I don’t smoke. Williams comes here. Produces. Drives around in a tye dye colored Lamborghini with a few woman. Flamboyant clothes. Flexes on the field. Yeah I’d be down with that in a huge way. Haha. Love this image! Let's go! Yeah, me too. ...

Me too. Guy couldn't complete a swing pass if his life depended on it. Doug Buffone famously said of him: "The guy couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a banjo."

Holy crap I just realized I'm traveling and will likely be in Chicago for Draft Day 1. Will see what that means for where I'll be able to watch it but will try to be on Discord to trade nuggets with you well-meaning clowns.

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

I worked for an English co back in the 2000s. We sold testing software and test data management. English colloquialisms are a favorite of mine. Some of them translate most nicely to American English. Starting "straight away." Easy enough. But if someone wants to make up test data, or make ...

LOL---I've been in software sales to analysts and developers most of my adult life. I always get a kick out of them filling out online forms and accidentally putting their titles as "Analist." Or maybe that's not an accident.

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

Lemelo has not been a bust. He is currently averaging 24 pts, 5 reb and 8 assists a game. That was basically his stat line from last year as well. The Ball Bro on the Bulls has been injured since he arrived in Chicago basically. When he played they were a much better team. Carry on. Ok whatever, do...

Re: Fields Nets Poles What?

What if Poles did something unconventional and not trade for a pick? How would you react to Justin Fields for Kyle Pitts and a swap of the 8th and 9th picks Probably gets you in position for one of the Big 3 WRs - not sure one makes it to 9. Plus Pitts at the U TE (Waldron runs a ton of 12 personne...

Re: Poles press conference 2/27

I'm in favor of multiple trades down, and still getting one of the top 4-5 QBs. Unpopular as that may be. I'm having a hard time trying to justify whether I think CWilliams is that much better of a prospect than Daniels, Maye, McCarthy, Nix and Penix. So if they really like one of those guys other t...

All kidding aside, I kind of hate the Senior Bowl for QB's and didnt actually watch it. But I watched 2 Oregon games this year (Washington and UCLA) and thought he looked great in both. But I'm purely talking about QB drills and expect he'll show out there too. I am wrong all the time though. I onl...

Upvoted because that is one of my favorite movies ever. I still cry a bit during the fight and at the end. One of the most awesome, memorable pieces of over acting that I never minded. It's perfect in that scene and I love it. And it's a great pat response on the subject matter we're bun-fighting o...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

On that Drake Maye video--some of us are old enough to recall Kyle Boller throwing a strike through the uprights from the 50 yl, from a knee about 20 years ago. Got drafted 19th by the Ravens. Did not equate to much of a career. Threw more picks than TDs. I'm not saying Maye will be a bad pro, but l...

Re: Caleb Williams News and Rumor thread

I do not feel that Justin Fields is the problem with this football team. That's the Core Belief from which everything else is derived from. Given that, why would I support using the most important resource a team can get, the #1 overall pick, to replace him? These are the problems with the Bears: 1...

Re: Free Talk // Open bar, we're not turning the lights off

So so good. I love and hate the Knives Out movies. Love because Whodunit movies deserve a renaissance. Hate because Knives Out and the Hercule Poirot/Agatha Christie movies have been, in my opinion, mediocre. I don't have high expectations for a Whodunit picture, but I feel as though there are abso...

Part of me worries that JF1 is like my golf game. I hit a few spectacular drives, I sink some incredible putts. I even get outta the sand nicely. Re: How much can Waldron and Fields "work" togther

I’d love to know what really went on last year. JF1 struggled the first month of the year, and they were trying to make the change to making him more of a pocket QB. From a coaching perspective, I think we can all agree they went too far. Round peg, square hole. It’s why Getsy is gone. Why did they ...

I listened to a pod from the Score, a recording from Friday evening with Mark Grote (fellow Redbird!), where he had Merrill Hoge on for an extended review of CW13. Jason Isaacs was really good in the recent mini series Archie as Cary Grant. Of course I first recall him as the elder Malfoy in Harry Potter. Dude, I've been the victim of identity theft. Goes back to 2020 or so. Someone from Norcross GA kept opening lines of credit and establishing home addresses there in my name. Even walked into a Chase to open an account using my SSN. As the attacks ramped up, I locked down all my credit with the 3 bu...

Todd Bell's hit on Washington's elite scat back Joe Washington in the '84 playoffs was symbolic of the defense, and their undeniable surge to the top. And of how the rules are a little different now. Finished season 4 of True Detective last night. It ended exactly as I expected, yet I still found myself disappointed. It was still probably the best season since the first one though.
